We stayed fo the second time in Odoorn based on a short break arrangment, with a high tea included. We upgraded to an executive deluxe room. We also had dinner the second night at the hotel
Very nice and large room , with hardwooded floor. The batroom is sumptuous with a jacuzzi , speerate shower, his and hers bassin and bathrobes. The bed is was quite standard hotel boxpring, with 2 seperate matrasses and duvets, so not a real King. Possibly this can be altered when asked. The TV is in need of replacing. The first night was very quiet, the second night it turned out the adjacent family rooms started producing noise from 7am. The view from the room is over the parking lot, not very inspiring.
We had the 3 course menu for 40 euros. A bit expensive, though quality was good. Quite a large wine list with wines from around the world. Sadly hardly any wines under 30 euro (exept the house wine). If you upgrade to 4 courses, the menu gets extended with a bowl of soup, at 8 euros this is not good value for money.
Not much to say about it, exept never have seen this thin slices of meat and cheese. It is a buffet though, so just take 2....Very standard, so not too memorable.
Hotel in general
Reception is unmanned lots of time. Reservation policies are quite strict (eg keeping an option on an extra night only until 10 nights up front while the hotel was very quiet).
It is a very good hotel, but it is pulled down by a sometimes not too generous feeling in the details. (reception, breakfast, dinner) Something not really fitting with the price point of the hotel.
There are different room types, the executive deluxe being the nicest (though expensive)
