The hotel car picked us up at Ubon Ratchatani airport and we drove 1 1/2 hours to this very quiet, restful hotel on the banks of the river. We had been confused thinking it in the city of Ubon, but in fact it is in the province about 80 km. from the city, and near to the Lao border. All the bedrooms have been re-furbished recently to a very high standard, and the food is good. There is a good swimming pool and it is in a National Park area - good for walking. The hotel arranged to take us to Chong Mek (the Lao border) which was only 1/2 hour by road. Hotel to be recommended and a convenient location for travelling on into Laos.
