I went to stay at Tohsang Khongjiam Resort and Spa last week for 3 nights, and it was probably one of the most memorable experiences of my life.
On the way from the airport to the resort, I was glad to be able to "get away" when I was seeing the easy-going environment of the city, which is a completely opposite feeling of the hectic life in Bangkok. The closer I get to the resort, the more I wonder if I could actually stay there because it starts to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere... But everything at Tohsang Khongjiam Resort makes me pause every time I tell people "where" is the place I'd like to go on my next vacation. Usually I'd say "Huahin" but after I came back, I'm now hesitated because I'm not sure whether Huahin would still be my number one or not.
I stayed at the Mekhong Villa and the view from the villa is very beautiful and romantic. As an earlybird, I was lucky to be up just in time to see the sun rises from the river from where I was staying. This is one of the moment in life that I'll never forget!!!
The service at the resort is just lovely, they're all very friendly and shows their very "local" personalities which I found it to be a very "cute" characteristic of the resort. The food is incredible... Watching the sun setting while having dinner is a great pleasure. For people with sweet tooth like mine would probably enjoy the irresistable deep-fried ice cream.
I also had a chance to enjoy their Coconut Oil Spa Treatment... (It felt so good that I actually slept through my treatment!). Everything at this resort reflects the nature and I found it to be perfect for me. Every once in a while, a workaholic would need a peaceful break and Tohsang Khongjiam Resort answered my needs perfectly.
Overall, I'd give this Tohsang Khongjiam Resort 5+ stars... and I even promised their staff that I would make a return visit for sure. The staff at the resort took me on a tour to their newly-built Pool Villa called "Sedhapura" and it's absolutely gorgeous!!! Right now I'm working on carefully planning my vacation (and save up more money!) so I could go back and give Sedhapura a try soon!
