I have to add to the great reviews of the Euro House Hotel. I stayed here with my parents the night before early morning flights. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. And the room was spotlessly clean. There is secure parking directly in front of the building, which was great since we weren't returning our rental car until the next morning. Also, they left breakfast in the in-room fridge (yoghurt, milk, juice, etc.) and on the counter (rolls, jam, nutella, coffee/tea) which was very helpful for an early departure.

Although this would be a nice efficiency-style place for a longer stay on the outskirts of Rome, it also works great for a quick stop before/after a flight.

I don't think anyone should book this place if they just want a place to stay before getting onto the plane the next day. It's designed and is perfect for those people who want to stay a little longer in Fiumicino. I also wouldn't book it if you intended to travel into Rome and back each day. It's only a 20 minute train ride to Rome, however the 20 Euro taxi fee or shuttle bus to the hotel makes it an expensive option and you might as well stay in Rome.
We arrived 1 hr after the deadline, and they waited for us. I think we were very lucky. The rooms are lovely, spacious and clean, the restuarant they recommend is very good. It's more of a self catering style accommodation rather than hotel style. Plently of car parking available.

We had been staying in Roma and had an early flight (hearing that the trains don't always run on time) we decided to stay nearer the airport. We caught the train to the airport (and the train broke down about 1km from it) and then eventually found the bus that goes to Fiumicino. The driver didn't speak any English. We had a GPS device and thankfully that allowed us to tell the driver where to stop.

The staff were friendly and the apartment was clean and spacious.

We caught the shuttle bus to the airport in the morning without any problems.

We chose this hotel because of good reviews on this site and because they offered a shuttle service from the airport. I was prepared to risk arriving later than the well publicised 8:30 deadline because our flight was scheduled to arrive from Athens just after 6 pm.

Our flight was late and it took Olympic Airways about 45 minutes to get the luggage from the plane, so I was starting to get concerned about the deadline when I called the hotel on my mobile for the shuttle. To my horror the receptionist told me that the shuttle was not operating that night because of the rain (wet but not exceptional), and told me to get a cab - although she did offer to call one up for me. I decided to go to the taxi rank outside the terminal building and was quoted 35 Euro (they don't use meters in Italy for short trips apparently). After refusing this another driver offered to take us for 25 Euro (the hotel's shuttle was advertised as 15 Euro). At this point I took my phone out of my pocket and announced I was going to ring the hotel and accept their offer to book me a cab. At this the driver brought his price down to 20 Euro (for a 3 km trip!), an offer I accepted as I was tired of the whole drama.

I was extremely annoyed at the hotel management for their lack of customer service in this case, particularly as the shuttle in my view was one of the main selling point attractions for this hotel.

The hotel itself was OK for the price, but it delivered a travel lesson. Murphy's Law states that anything that can go wrong will go wrong, and Murphy was so right! I will certainly NOT be recommending a hotel with such a cavalier attitude to its customers. I had read one or two bad reviews about this hotel on this site, particularly in respect to the check-in deadline. I should have seen this as a warning about their appalling customer attitudes but chose to ignore it. I was wrong!!!!
