We stayed here the final night of our vacation because we had a relatively early flight and the prices at the airport hotel were outrageous. If I had to do it again, I'd ignore my inner cheapskate and shell out the money for the airport hotel. We worried for our safety and the people who ran the place were jerks.
Hotel Euro House met our basic needs -- the room was relatively clean and spacious, the bed was fine for one night and the shower worked. It was also very close to the airport. But we had some SERIOUS problems with the place.
Safety is a big concern. The entire area by the airport is an economically depressed, marginal neighborhood. When we arrived, we had to park our car behind tall electrified gates. While we were unpacking our belongings, we heard a commotion outside -- someone had been SHOT half a block away!!
After the police cleared away the victim and things calmed down, we drove to a local store to buy some food to make a simple dinner in the apartment's kitchen (the only places to eat nearby are 2 tourist traps). When we tried to turn on the apartment's stove, it didn't work. When we phoned the front desk, they said 'oh, the gas has been turned off.' It would have been nice if they'd told us that when A) we emailed and requested a room with a kitchenette B) when we checked in and they pointed out the kitchen or C) when we asked them where we could buy some food to cook that evening!!
In short, I'd stay here if you are desperate.
