My wife and I stayed over the Bank Holiday. We wanted somewhere that was likley to let us get a good nights sleep so that we were ready to explore this lovely part of Scotland by day. We have stayed in hotels where the doors of other guests and late night party goers have only stoped banging around dawn just in time for the couple in the room next door to have a row or the fire alarm to go off twice in one night. Now speaking for my self ( not my beloved wife you must understand) that leaves me shattered and grumpy. There is a bit of road noise but it is not sudden but a backround rumble that we coped with. Otherwise our stay was very peaceful The staff were lovely especally Mary who is a credit to the hotel and did everything to make us happy with our visit. The food was simple, honest ,well cooked and plentiful.Very good value @ £85 per couple per night DBB.(website offer) Bedroom and bathroom decor could do with a bit of a touch up but bed comfy and plenty of room to relax and sit at the table and 2 soft chairs WE will go again for sure.
