We stayed here in the middle of febuary on an all inclusive basis. The rooms were above standard size and we had a great view being at the front of the hotel. The food was also great with there being a good selection and food cooked to your needs at dinner time. In the Day time the snack bar was great you went in and ordered you food so it was cooked fresh for you. The hotel is quite a walk from the beach but it is well worth going for the day. If you are going all inclusive it would be better to go half board as the entertainment is poor and you have to go out everynight. We went to the Broncemar Beach hotel every night were the entertainment is fantastic and it is only five / ten minute walk away. If you are on a budget the hotel is great.

We arrived at our hotel tired at night after a flight delay. We were booked into the castillo san Jorge which is one of 3 hotels linked together as a complex. The main reception was in the Antigua. We were given the key, loaded ourselves and luggage into the lft and got to the room to find it disgraceful, not cleaned after the previous occupants, rubbish still in room, beds not made etc etc. We stormed back down to reception, not happy bunnies. Receptionist very apologetic and proceeded to find us antoher room. Steve asked where there any sea views and we were told yes but it would cost us an extra 6 euros a night, which Steve paid. We stayed in the Antigua suites which is where the main activities are and the one bedded room was adequate for Steve, ben and myself. We only appreciated the view when it was daylight...perfect. We were fully inclusive which was our first time, and this worked well for ben who certainly got his monies worth from drinks and ice cream. Meals in the resturant were buffet style (Only two dining areas for A.I) buffet style meals were fine and plenty of choice and the snack bar did ore than ample meals throughout the day. All Inclusive stopped at 11pm then you had to pay for drinks etc. Entertainment was ok, a singer guitarist was very good and the snake man did a very entertaining show. The kids entertainer Oswald worked so hard with the kids and boy was he tall!!!! Pepe the evening chef was a miserable so and so scowling at me for putting my finger on the edge of a terrine to sample what it was. I held my hands up and apologised (Not good food hygiene I suppose) but he began to tell his colleagues and point at me and scowl.....not very professional making a customer feel like a naughty child!!!
Mercedes who worked in the snak bar and resrurant was so lovely and always so very cheerful. Hotel was very clean and the maids cleaned your rooms well. 3 fab pools to choose from and plenty of sun loungers. The Antigua pool overlooks the sea.
Caletta itself is only small with a manmade beach but has a nice promenade walk and harbour and plenty of bars and places to eat. The only trouble with AI was that you felt obliged to eat and drink there to get your "Monies Worth" but as Ben had made friends he was happy with the freedom of the complex. Would be happy to go there again, bet its very lively in the summer and very hot.

“Good All round Hotel Good Views”

ApartHotel Castillo San Jorge / Antigua / Suites

26 Feb 2008

Me and my partner and two children aged 11 & 4 stayed at this hotel for 11 nights in november 2006.
We arrived at around 4pm and was meet by very helpful reception staff. We booked a mini bus transfer which cost around £60 which to be honest was'nt werth it as the cab charge is around 10 euros and only about 10mins from the airport.
Dont be put off by the airport being close as caleta de fuste is an extremly nice and quite town.
After being greeted by the staff we were told the sea view room allication which i had emailed across had never reached them. But as it was outside the season it was not a problem as the hotel holds 300+ rooms. There are 3 sections of the hotel and we chose to stay in the suites which we were told was the quitest and with the best sea views. To be honest the whole hotel was quite as it was out of season which suited us.
The room due to it being a sea view had a surcharge with it which was around the £60 mark for the 11 nights which i thought was reasonable.
We went all inculsive to this hotel and with our family this is what we normally do to all destinations. I must say the food and drink was plentyfull however after a week gets a bit repetative, so we found ourselves going out to eat which is not ideal after paying all inclusive. The local resturants are very good and resonable especially the slow boat chinese and the indian right outside the suites hotel (dinner was huge).
The pools were good and you had three to choose from plus a childrens pool but all cold and not heated.
The pool snacks and drinks were OK but again repetative but the kids seem to like it.
The only complaint i would honestly say is the hotel satted air con but when we got there there was none in the rooms and very rarely anywhere else which is not good when its been a hot day and your trying to enjoy your meal that evening in very hot conditions.
The entertainment was OK and wachable but it repeated itself the second week and i must say one week of it is enough. But again the kids like the mini disco.
Overall the hotel was good and good value for money, its like that old saying you get what you pay for and we did get good value for our money.

just come back from a weeks stay at the san jorge. firstly room good size but in need of a good clean and coat of paint, virtually no storage space had to keep a lot of our clothes in suitcases which wasnt ideal. you have to pay to rent a kettle also for tv remote. there was always plenty of sunbeds but i think that was because it was very quiet the complex was less than half full. pools nice but freezing cold. food was very good im a fussy eater and there was always something i liked. evening entertainment is dire there is no atmosphere whatsoever both bars had less than 20 people every night. the complex is in a lovely position overlooking the sea and its fun to go and see the chipmunks who will feed out of your hands. i would definitley go back to fuerteventura but not to this complex it needs some serious redecoration and some decent cleaners.

“What is everyone on ????- it was brilliant in actuall fact”

ApartHotel Castillo San Jorge / Antigua / Suites

12 Feb 2008

I stayed here last year with my family of five, we had a brilliant self catering holiday. Yes, the room was fairly basic and not of what we have in England, but we could see the sea, had a brillinat view of what was arguably the best looking pool in the world, even though it was cold. There are three pools, and you can go in any one you wish.

The architecture of the hotel was beatiful, the staff are always there, and ready to help, the entire place is immaculate, the bars are brilliant, and the place itself within Caleta De Fuste is also superb. Went to Lanzarote this year, i can assure you i will be going back to Caleta and San Jorge next year.

Take a look at these pictures, they might change your mind.
