“The Real Truth”

Broncemar Beach

14 Jul 2008

Ok, here we go. On first arriving at 10.45pm at night we were greeted with a smile and directed to our room via the map that was given to us, that was the last smile i saw from the hotel staff.

The apartment was on the second floor and was big, spacious, clean with a large balcony and right beside the kids pool area, overall we were really pleased.

Now for a few words of WARNING. Never use the on site supermarket, very very expensive, the ones in town are not as expensive but expensive all the same. There is a Spar a 10min walk away that shall give you everything at half the price.

SUNBEDS... you shall have to get up at around 6.30am if you want one, i was awoke every morning with the beds and parrasols being shuffled by eager guests rushing for the best spots.

KIDS POOL very very slippy, please watch, including adults.

POOL BAR, very very expensive, i talked with so many guests complaining of this, be warned, never take your own beverage to this area as you will be strictly advised never to do this again and if you do you shall be expected to be evicted as some guests had been, but may i say though in all my time in Self Catering i have never seen so many guests freely drinking their own alcohol,it looked as if it was expected and the normal thing to do.

ENTERTAINMENT, Johhny and his gang worked tirelessly entertaining you from morning to night seven days a week, not my kind of thing, but then again the kids loved it and thats all that matters, so hats off to them for trying...as i said though not adults entertainment, you are better off going into town and seeing the live acts at Pieros which were excellent.

The Resort itself was excellent, a beautifull place to relax and unwind with the family, very clean and no rowdy packs of drunks to spoil it. It has a great beach and fantastic restaurants with good bars to have a drink and relax...if you have young kids go to Paprika Italian bar as it has a small swing park that the kids can run around daft in safely while you can sit and have a drink while watching them.
Overall we really enjoyed the holiday,my son LOVED it so much he did not want to come back, the weather was excellent and the company we met were entertaining, i think we and my boy have made friends for life, so much so we are looking to return together next year, but not to the Bronchemar.

I recently got back from a weeks stay at Broncemar Beach with my partner, and all I can say is I wish we was still there. The hotel was lovely, very clean and everybody was very friendly. The hotel has got 2 big pools and a smaller pool for the kids, it has got a little supermarket, shop, a couple of restaurants and bar. The shopping complex is just 2 minutes walk away, its quite small but nice and the beach is 5 minutes walk away-which was lovely.

I would definately recommend this hotel, we are already lookin to book again :-)

“Great Family Holiday”

Broncemar Beach

Great family hotel ideally located within easy walking distance of the shops, bars and restaurants in the main town. Excellent kids club and facilities for children (park, football pitch, indoor play centre.

Rooms good (except for a few cockroaches) and kept clean. Facilites on site include a supermarket, snack bar, small restaurant and an all inclusive restaurant.

2 large pools and a kids pool although the pool area can get a bit dirty and is very slippery.

Great value for money!

We recently spent a week at this apartment complex - a last minute getaway.

It's situated in the quite resort of Costa Caleta - when I say quite, I mean family friendly with no single sex groups milling around. This was ideal for us as we wanted a relaxing week away - if this is what you're after then you won't be dissapointed with the resort as it has planty of bars and restaurants, all with a laid back atmosphere.

As for the apartments themselves - very typical Spanish holiday apartments. The complex is a 2 minute walk away from a couple of shopping areas and a 5 minute walk away from the beach. The check in area is spacious with sofas and comfy chairs and a number of PC's in one corner. When we checked in we were given a map of the complex which was handy as our apartment was in the furthest corner away from check in - we never would have found it!

The apartments are two storey, the ground floor having patio doors onto a patio area - looked like the 1st floor had something similar. Ours was a one bedroom (with 2 single beds) with 2 sofas in the living room which looked like they could be converted into beds. All the usual cooking equipment/utensils were also supplied. There was a tv in the room which had a meter, but we never used it. As I said, a typical Spanish holiday apartment.

The complex has 4 outdoor swimming pools which were quite busy most days (the beach was much better as the breeze off the sea made the temperatures more bearable). There's also a few shops, restaurants and a bar there too (couldn't get used to people smoking in the bars!)

If I was to go back to the resort I'd probably look at this complex again.

“the brillant broncemar beach”

Broncemar Beach

We have just come back from a 2 week stay. It was out 2nd time to the Broncemar. We first visited in September 2006, We found this time even better than the first. The hotels entertainments team were brillant, especially Jonny, Kylie, and Adam. They put on some great shows at night time and arranged some fun games around the pool, including quizes (so you don,t even have to get off of your sunbed if you don,t wish too). I also like that fact that if you did,nt wish to joining in they were not at all pushy. My 4 year old went in to the tour oporators kids club, which was excellent, it was in a part of a hotel where we felt she would be very safe, and we had no worries about leaving her, a couple of days she enjoyed it so much she wanted to go twice. Vinne , Stacey, and Sarah were very popluar with the kids. We also liked the once a week party they had from 7-10pm, which meant me and my husband could have an evening to our selfs, and it only cost 15euros which encluded her dinner. The resturant at the hotel offered a really good choice, and we thought had inproved from our last visit. Sometimes the desserts were a little bit limited, but most nights I was too full anyway. The apartments are off a really good size, and we had a great balcony. There is also plenty of cuboard space. Plus a kettle and toaster. if you need it, at no extra charge. The hotel bar is right by the pool, and is half in and half outsize. Beacause its quiet sheltered it was warm enough to sit out size without a jacket, were as if you go into the town in the evening, if the wind picks up it can be a little bit chilly. we did,nt go to the beach this time. But is only 5 mins walk away, along with the resort centre. If you don,t mind a 20 mins walk, go the the Spa supermarket in the Atlantic centre, its a 3rd cheaper than the Netto in town, and a far bigger choice, a taxi back would only be about 3 euros, well worth it. The Hotel had 3 pools, a kids pool, a main pool, where they had the pool games, and a quiet pool. Even though the hotel is very family based they are were a lot of couples staying at the hotel. From speaking to other guests, they were quiet a few that to had been to the hotel before. Me and my family have said we would go back in a year of two. The mangar of the hotel was always around and was very friendly and hard working along the the Thomas Cook repl Laura, would was really helpful, we booked a car elsewher, but she was still happy to advising as how to get to other parts of the island. The only dissapointment I had was the 2 weeks went to fast.
