We have now been to Fuertevenura regularly over the last 18 years and have seen Caleta De Fuste develop considerably. We have stayed at each of the high end hotels as each one has been built and we have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions since it was built. Sad to say, but although it is a beautiful hotel with fantastic facilities, it's standards have dropped year on year.
On arrival we were upgraded to a suite with free wi-fi, tea and coffee machine, fruit etc. Great, but our view was of a large palm tree as opposed to the sea and pool view we had requested. There was one tea bag between two of us and the tea and coffee was not replenished. The wi-fi was intermittent and the room was not cleaned properly (an empty wine glass put onto the desk in the room on arrival, was still there five days later).
The breakfast was good, but the food at the poolside was very poor and out of four days eating there, seven out of eight meals had to be sent back for either being badly cooked or simply not being the correct dish (lots of other guests appeared to have similar complaints).
We had the buffet dinner one evening, which was okay, but not fantastic. On another evening we booked a table in the Faro restaurant, a place we have dined in before and had a lovely albeit quite expensive meal. This time it was still expensive, but a very poor experience. We had a Chateaubriand between two. The potatoes and vegetables arrived five minutes before the steak, but we're a lot worse than undercooked, so by the time the meat arrived everything had to be returned to the kitchen. When the meal finally arrived the meat was dry and the veg stil cold and undercooked. We made the best out of a bad meal and left the restaurant never to return. I should point out that the kitchen was not under pressure as we were the only diners in the restaurant. At one stage there were four chefs stood around the grill.
All in all the Sheraton have again failed to deliver and after my previous experience I will not be coming here again.

First of all we would like to thank you for having once again chosen the Sheraton Fuerteventura Beach, Golf & Spa Resort for your holiday.
After reading your review we must admit that we felt a huge disappointment. Even the extra treats we prepare for the repeater guests, such as free room upgrade, wifi, entrance to the spa and coffee and tea in the room, went wrong. You don’t mention in your review if you reported at the reception the insufficient wi-fi-signal and the lack of replenishment of the minibar so we don’t know at this point if apart from providing an insufficient service, even your reclamation hasn’t been attended properly. It’s a pity, since both issues have a very simple solution: providing a land line cable for the internet and sending housekeeping to refill the minibar. We appreciate that you mention it, since it gives us the opportunity to properly investigate with the Housekeeping and Maintenance Mgr. what went actually wrong.
I will pay special attention in looking into your complaint regarding the à la carte Restaurant. We barely receive any complaints for this restaurant and it’s even booked by local companies for special events because of the good quality of the food served, not to mention that all the weddings which are organised at our property are held there. The situation you described is an unpleasant surprise for us.
