We had a wonderful stay here last September. My boyfriend proposed to me here and it was just perfect! I booked this hotel over the internet after reading the great reviews on this site. We were not disappointed. The hotel is run professionally and with a really relaxed, friendly feel to it. The weather was stunning while we were there and it was fantastic to be a short five minuite walk away from the waterfront action and beachfront restaurants.

We stayed here at the end of a two month trip through Europe and we really appreciated the relaxing atmosphere of this spot. The pool was gorgeous to dip into on the hot afternoons. There are also a number of fantastic restaurants to choose from along the beachfront.

Breakfast was yummy and set us up nicely for the day. One night we caught the bus into Oia and got a glimpse of the stunning sunset from the clifftop location. We were glad we decided to stay at Kamari Beach however, because Oia was quite loud and crowded and Kamari Beach is much more romantic!! I would definitely stay here again...maybe on our 20 year wedding anniversary?!!

Just one more point: when our ferry was delayed by 5 hours (upon our depature!) George found out and arranged our transfer to arrive later (to save us waiting at the port). This was much appreciated. If I was to book this trip again, I would choose to travel by aeroplane rather than the very slow ferry!!! In the end the ferry was so late we had to go striaght to the airport from the port (despite booking a night's accommodation in Athens!). Take the plane if you have the option! :)

We absolutely loved Santorini and Kamari Beach (and of course Acqua Vatos!) and would definiely travel there again! :)

Our holiday in Santorini was for our daughter's wedding and after many months of searching we came across the Acqua Vatos in Kamari and what a wonderful find this turned out to be. After many weeks of helpful emails, we booked the junior suite. On September 4th we arrived at the hotel for our two week stay.

On arrival we were greeted by George (the owner) and taken to our suite. First impressions exceded our expectations, it was lovely, bright, fresh and welcoming. The two rooms and large balcony served us more than adiquatly, as we had many visitor's over the two weeks. Including the dressing of the bridal party.

The hotel was excellent in every way, nothing was too much trouble for anyone. As the hotel is family run, you almost feel family yourself and what a wonderful family they are. Your wish is their command.

Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice, served either inside or outside on the balcony.

The large pool area was great , lots of sunbeds, unbrellas and lovely old trees for shade. The hotel is in a great location minutes from the beach with lots of cafes and shops close by.

George is a remarkable host, we could not have managed without him or his beautiful sister Alina, they are truly the most helpful and kind people, it has been my privilege to meet.

As we were a party of 30 we needed more rooms, we came across the Anna Apartments just outside kamari, also managed by George. These apartments are lovely and traditional with a fabulous pool and wonderful sea view.

Kamari as a resort lacks nothing, and a stay at the Acqua Vatos will make it unforgettable.

This is a beautiful hotel - and not just the rooms. The entrance to the hotel, the lobby, the patio and the pool, the bar, the dining room - vibrant, tasteful, elegant without being pretentious. I loved the beautiful marble walkways and steps, the hues/accents on the walls, the decor. It feels good walking through the door!

And the owners, a brother and sister team, are the nicest people you'll ever meet! They go out of their way to make sure that their guests have a great visit. They are helpful figuring out the mundane issues to the more tricky - transportation issues on/off the island, luggage quandaries, getting around the island, finding a good restaurant, the route to Fira (by foot). They are helpful, resourceful, and just the nicest people!

My room was decorated in soft blues and greens, and included a lanai and a view. A big window let lots of natural light in. The complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious. Strong coffee (or tea), fresh baked bread, cheese, meats, eggs, cereals, yoghurt, and fresh fruit.

The hotel is located at Kamari Beach about 100 metres from the shore. Bakeries, stores, restaurants, and shops are nearby. And the black beach is spectacular, so different from other beaches. Some nights, fog rolls in. As you're walking back from dinner, you hear the water but can't see it. The black beach and the grey fog become one. You can hear the water, but it's not there. You walk onto the beach trying to gage the shore and step carefully, but not too far. It was mesmerizing.

I loved my visit to Santorini and the ACQUA VATOS HOTEL was a great place to stay! I recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

We stayed in this hotel the week of our wedding Santorini September 2007. Its a nice hotel, the decor is lovely and the rooms are spacious and clean. The rooms are the best i have stayed in kamari. However, there is a severe lack of sunbeds at this hotel and i had one afternoon at the poolside out of a whole week! We had to use our visiting families hotel pool due to the lack of beds. I was upset about this as our hotel cost us a lot more that our families and it was our wedding week. The owners are very nice people who really helped us out with small things regarding the wedding. The location is very good as its so close to the shops, beach and restaurants so 10/10 for location and customer service its just a shame the pool area wasnt better
!
