Celtis resort, first I must say as the only 2 reviews were in French and I think the owners are French you can imagine what I thought, I should not have worried.
I am very pleased to say that for the budget traveller like me this place is very good, the bungalow style rooms are only about 3 years old, so are of a very good standard.
I paid only Php-700 per night b&b as I do not need a/c which is extra.
Malapascua Island was by far the smallest Island I went to and what a surprise to get 24 hour electricity and HOT water at this price, I think there are 6 bungalow style rooms, and they all have a veranda, nice to read a book on, they had completed when I stayed there a nice bar come restaurant area where you have breakfast, I must also say by budget accommodation standards in the Philippines they do a very nice small breakfast, a very good start to the day. Also the owner on this smallish plot has laid it out very nicely.
While I stayed there the owner had a lovely couple from Manila operating front of house.
As you will see from the website the only slight draw back is that it is not beach front, but that reflects in the price, not a problem for me as it is a very short walk to the 2 beaches, also they are very close to what must be the best budget restaurant on the island Ging-Gings Garden Restaurant, so if like me you like the look of Celtis Resort and it suits your needs I can highly recommend this budget accommodation, and the island is great.
