We have just come back from a week's holiday at this hotel, I picked this hotel from the excellent reviews already on this site, so felt it was only right that I should also comment on our stay.

We checked in late Thursday evening and 'Omar' on reception was wonderful, so friendly, helpful and he spoke fantastic English, very impressive considering as previous reviews have mentioned this hotel does not have very many English guests mainly Italian and German so the staff really are multilingual and Omar is a real credit to this hotel as he would be to any hotel!

The food was wonderful, we travelled with two fussy teenagers and a fussy 3 year old and I have never seen any of them eat so much, there was so much variety and although normally Im not a great lover of 'buffet - all inclusive' holidays and booked this more for the kids than for us, it really is more upmarket than your average spanish all inclusive and at a fantastic price for a four star hotel.

There are self service drinks such as wine, beer and soft drinks including mineral water dispensers and other drinks are available from the barstaff, which we never seemed to have to queue for.

The hotel was beautifully clean all the time and all the public toilets even by the pool were spotless.

We hired a car and drove to Sotovente beach - wow this was fantastic - we had some lovely days there. But as previously advised, beware, lots of nude people, which kept my teenagers amused!!

There are no bars or restaurants within walking distance but as we had a car for the week this wasnt a problem with us.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 week in March, definately best all inclusive package we have ever had, liked the idea to pay 1euro extra, to get more branded drinks.
Food was excellent, sun beds and pools great, and plenty of both.
Staff really helpful, but not too overbearing.
Only complaint as it was dark and got quite cold at night we stayed in Hotel, and entertainment was not up to much, animation team could have put a bit more into it, but maybe it will be better in high season.
This is definately ahotel we will visit again, and reccommend to friends.

I totally agree with all previous reviews. We came back on Sunday after 4 days at this hotel. Staff wonderful, wide variety of food, pleasant dining room and outside terrace where we ate every breakfast and lunchtime. Rooms were bright and modern, hotel immaculate. .No need to reserve sunbeds as there were always plenty available. Animation staff pleasant and not overbearing.
Couple of charges to watch out for... pool towels 15 euro per person deposit, safe key 10 euro deposit and a charge of 2.50 euro per day, and remote control for TV ( only sky news and cnn in English)20 euro deposit. Gym and Spa are extra charge too and if you go down to the beach the sunbeds do not belong to the Hotel there is a charge for them! Also on the beach expect to see a few birthday suits, only thing one guy had on was his ipod!!! It is very windy ,so be careful or you will burn.
Weather was a pleasant 22C. Sotavento beach ( 25min walk, 5 mins in car) also worth a visit. Sea is turquoise blue and lovely white sand and people have written their names on a small sand dune.Costa Calma is a fairly quiet resort, and quite spread out with three definite areas one being across the main FV2 highway. Enough to have a wee browse and get a souvenir or two. If you have a car go down to Morro Jable(20mins) or get the local bus, lots of shops, bars and restaurants in a lovely setting.
We had to fly back to the UK from Lanzarote so we took the ferry from Corralejo (not my favourite resort) to Playa Blanca and got the free Fred Olsen bus to the aiport. A lovely end to our break.
This was definitely one of our best chilling-out breaks .

Where do I start, to be honest although we came back 4 weeks ago, part of me is still sat on a sunlounger by one of the many pools. This was a recharge serotonin level holiday - and it worked! Exquisite family room, although only the two of us we like our space, beautiful views of the atlantic from our balcony. Asked for extra pillows when we entered room and they arrived almost before we put the phone down, Started the day with the largest buffet breakfast choice we have ever seen, civil and friendly staff attentive to all needs. loads of sunbeds, endless food and help yourself drinks at pool bar all day, easy access to beach and then you can amble along the water's edge any time of the day turn left when you reach the beach and you will find lots of pleasant coffee/cool drink stops where you can watch the calming Atlantic waves. We stayed for 7 days, make sure you stay for 10 - 14, we will be back again next Winter!
