“Fantastic beach front location”

We chose this hotel as the basis for a family get together. We wanted a reasonable standard of accommodation and all inclusive so we did not have to worry about extra spending money. We chose Fuerteventura for the weather.
We picked up our hire car from Avis at the airport and drove 45 minutes to Costa Calma. It was a very easy drive along excellent roads.
The hotel is large and well arranged. It never seemed to be really crowded. The pools are beautiful and one of the outdoor pools is heated. There was a plentiful supply of loungers and fresh pool towels. The hotel is very clean and the decor is modern. The rooms were basic but clean. There were 3 English channels: Sky news, CNN and National Geographic. Enough to keep in touch with what was happening around the world. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been appreciated. Remember to take your own toiletries as the sachets of shower gel provided are not great.
The food was plentiful although repetitive, especially lunch. However, there is something for everyone. The all inclusive drinks were ok, premium brands were available for 2 euros extra. The self service for soft drinks, water and tea/coffee was good and this helped to avoid long queues. The shop in Reception is very expensive - step out of the hotel, walk for a few metres to the right and you will find a small Spar shop - great choice and good value.
The gym did not have the airconditioning on and as such was unbearably hot. There are a few machines and free weights but no supply of drinking water.
In summary, this hotel is a good choice for those looking for a relaxing week in clean, spacious surroundings. There is little in the way of entertainment nearby so if you are lookng for pubs/shops/ nightlife this is not the best choice.

“Great for a nice & quiet winter retreat”

Myself, my wife and our 3 year old daughter stayed at the Tindaya for a late winter break in March. We have stayed at H10 resorts before and decided to give this one a go as it ticked all the boxes.

I think other recent reviews have it spot on in terms of capturing the details of the hotel and I would emphasise the beach is one of the best I've been to in the canaries. There was easy access from the hotel and child friendly also the sea was warm enough to swim.

I probably would have rated the Tindaya a 5 only the rooms were a little on the poky side for 3 of us and there wasn't a children specific menu for kids. The grill bar food was a tad on the greasy side too. Poss a tad picky though!

Other peripheral info: hotel and flights booked separately as I couldn’t find any UK tour operators who did packages to this hotel. We also hired a car for the week (£120) mainly to get to the hotel and back because it is an hour’s drive. We also went to the Zoo about 20 mins drive from the hotel which is well worth a visit.

Overall I could not fault our stay at the Tindaya, it was great value for money. I'm sure we will be coming back again at some point.

“A Brilliant Holiday - 5*****”

H10 Tindaya Hotel

I stayed at this hotel in February with my mum and daughter. The coach transfer from the airport took around forty five minutes. The hotel was clean at all times and was a great place to go and chill for a week. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels. There was a safety deposit box in the room and a tv which you had to pay a deposit. Also you had to pay a deposit for your pool towels which you could change daily. All deposits were refunded on checking out. The restaurant was fabulous and the staff were excellent. The food was amazing and there were so many different choices. There were mainly Germans and Italians staying at the hotel but this did not bother us as everyone appeared quite friendly. The entertainment during the evening wasn't up to much but on the night before we left there was an act on called African Footprint. They were absolutely amazing and well worth going to see. The beach in front of the hotel was lovely although there were quite a few nudists (not a pretty sight!!). If you walked to the left and climed over a few rocks you could walk for miles down a beautiful beach . Not really too much to do around this area but if you just want to chill out it is perfect. We absolutely loved it and would like to return. The reception staff were very helpful and freindly. The all inclusive drinks were of a good quality although if you wanted you could pay two euros for international brands which I though was pretty reasonable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

“Excellent Hotel But”

H10 Tindaya Hotel

We have just returned from H10 Tindaya Spa. The hotel is immaculate. Acres of tiles and marble. No carpets to get dirty. Corridors are at least 15 feet wide. Hotel directly onto a sandy beach. Plenty of parking at the back and sides. Reception staff have good English and my requests for extra pillows and blankets were dealt with. They also phoned to confirm my return trip on Resort Hoppa, who were excellent also. The hotel is a good hours drive from the airport. so bear in mind that this resort is a happening in the middle of nowhere . They have built hotels along the lovely beaches and are building more. There are a few shops and places to get coffees but not a lot. There is very little to see on this island apart from wall to wall mountains and beaches. They are lovely, but there are no villages to go to and no major city as in Gran Canaria. We stayed AI which I have never done before and you could eat and drink from 7 30 in the morning till midnight. The food was excellent. Freshly cooked fish of every kind. freshly made pizzas and Italian meals , lovely salads, fresh fruit , soups , pastries etc etc.Mountains of fresh bread and rolls. The waiters were excellent in clearing the used plates and coffee came in a pot for breakfast, as did tea. HOWEVER we were the only English people there and were ignored totally for the whole week by the Germans who have made the place their own. There were no English notices anywhere and you had to ask staff about any of the clubs etc which passed me by totally. There is a lot of nudity on the beach and they stand in the middle playing beach games, so if you can't cope with these not so pretty sites give it a miss. There is nothing else to do except pool ,beach, read. There is really no where to walk out to.

“Nice hotel, poor food, rude reception staff”

H10 Tindaya Hotel

Nice public areas and pools. Good location at a beautiful beach (but beware of old German nudists, somewhat exhibitionists). The food was not very good and the buffet selection was quite poor (except on the evening when they asked us to fill a customer satisfaction questionnaire). In spite of being all inclusive, I had to pay for an espresso and a bottle of mineral water at the bar (so in this hotel, all inclusive is not very meaningful).

All in all, there are better choices in Costa Calma for the same price range. The Costa Calma Palace is definitely better.
