We visited in May and had a fantastic time at the Fiesta Don Toni with the family. We stayed in the hotel side which was quieter than the club, everyone ate and drunk in the same restaurant and bars I would class this hotel as a 3 star. The rooms are basic, we had a triple room, cleaned every day with lovely clean bedding, and towels were changed daily. You can hire various items from reception including kettle, mini-fridge, ironing board all for a daily fee. The hotel is very suitable for families with children and there is lots going on both during the day and good entertainment in the evening.
Good food – wide choice for your meals was superb, everything you could possibly think of and well presented, the dining room staff were all polite, cleared and cleaned the tables regularly so we never had to wait for a table. There was a snack bar open between breakfast and lunch, and then again after lunch until dinner, where you could help yourselves to chicken, kebab skewers, burgers, hot dogs, chips, ham and cheese with salad. The 'all inclusive' option is a MUST and is real value for money. We helped ourselves to cold lager and soft drinks on tap - I couldn't fault the drinks on offer.
There are two pools, one a large beach pool you could swim to the pool bar for a drink, lots of sun beds but think that in high season you may struggle to get one, the other pool is a traditional pool you can swim in and do a few lengths, both pools have a lifeguard on duty and both have a children's pool adjacent. The pool bar served soft and alcoholic drinks, ice cream, red slush puppies and sandwiches from 10-midnight.
The Hotel is just a short walk from the 'Aguamar' aqua park and entrance is free when you take your hotel booking card with you. The hotel will pack a lunch for you all if you request it the night before, which was consisted of rolls, meat, cheese, tomatoes, fruit & water, definitely worth a visit.
The beach was right outside the hotel, it was clean and the usual pedlo hire available, more sun beds for the fiesta residents to use free of charge, the hotel had a quieter bar with a large balcony overlooking the beach and this became our local. The only criticism we had was that you had to walk out of the hotel through a secured gate to get to the pool areas.
You can catch the No 14 bus practically outside the hotel to take a trip into Ibiza Town, although this wasn’t ideal for us as we have a wheelchair and there was no space to store it & the bus did get rather packed. We opted for the aqua bus for our return journey which was only 3.40 euros & a lovely journey, once off the boat it was only a short walk back to the hotel.
If you want any of the clubs Ibiza is famous for Space was just over the road from the Hotel and a short trip to Boro Boro and a taxi trip to San Antonio if you wanted more varied night life.
The resort is close to the airport and the planes do fly rather low over the hotel as they are landing although as the week goes on you do get use to it and the noise isn’t an issue.
There are a number of trips First Choice offer – we did the Hippie Market trip which was a nice day out but we felt 21 euros each was a little pricey and 3hours was slightly too long to spend at a market it wasn’t what we were looking for – if you are into white linen, belts, jewellery & hippy clothing this would be for you.
All in all a very good holiday, I would like to say the staff we met were brilliant and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We would certainly go again to the Hotel Don Toni.
