The hotel is a 5 minute transfer from the airport, so it's pretty obvious there's a LOT of aircraft noise. It seemed as though the flight path was right over the hotel pool area, and there were a lot of planes as well, though there were fewer at night. So please expect aircraft noise if you stay here !

The room was large and well kitted out. Very clean and with a balcony overlooking the pool. Unfortunatelyt we were right above the outdoors stage area, and there was no chance of an early night ! This hotel is definitely geared up for families. We dont have children ourselves but the 2 couples we met out there, had 4 children between them, and they were always being kept busy by the childrens clubs, and daytimes activities.

The pool is a fair size, but once again...be prepared to get up early to do the towel on the sunbeds thing to get a good position. The hotel is set right on the beach, so there's easy access to it.

The restaurant is all buffet style, and the food is quite average, but there are plenty of restaurants and bars within a short walk, so for a better meal, have a small wander to the town.

One of the biggest nightclubs on the island, Space, is literally accross the road, so expect some noise from here, but we found it a very noisy resort anyway, so you kind of get used to it.

If you want a relaxing holiday, with peace and quiet...do NOT go to this hotel. But if you've got kids, and don't mind putting up with a lot of noise, this is the place for you. As i said, it's a lively resort, with a lot of noise from planes, nightclubs and screaming kids, but it's ideal for families with young kids.

We wont be going back there...until we have kids to take !

We have just returned from a 7 night stay, half-board at the Club Don Toni (July 26th - Aug 2nd). We are a married couple in our 30s with a 5 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. We had never heard of the Don Toni and went on the advice of our travel agent. Here is what we found:


Accommodation
Our room was large and comfortable. We had two single beds which were pushed together as a double and the kids slept on settees which converted to beds. There was a TV in the room (only showing spanish TV and Eurosport) and every room has a balcony with a view of the pool. The bathroom was adequate with a shower over the bath. Highlight was air conditioning (with controls) and a large fan above our bed! Only downside was a number of ants which made themselves home under our bed! There was maid service every day.

Hotel
The hotel itself was clean, modern and very large. Reception was well staffed and all staff were keen to help. Plenty of bar staff were on hand to help, especially for those who had chosen to upgrade to all inclusive (you could pay for this on arrival, all inclusive for food and drink or drink alone). We were quoted 281 euros to upgrade for drink only for the week for all of us but decided not to which we regreted later as the prices of drinks were quite expensive. The pool was fantastic, large, clean and no loose tiles. Water was warm. Only downside was having to set the alarm for 7am to lay towels on sunbeds as there were not enough to go around! Entertainment was excellent, with kids clubs, sports for the adults and a show every night (singers, parrot show, Moulin Rouge etc)

Food
This was the highlight of our holiday. The large restaurant served every kind of food imaginable with separate 'pods' for salads, cold meats, cheeses, carvary, burger bar, veg section, deserts (all home cooked). There was even a children's pod with their own food (eg chips, burgers, fish fingers etc). You could go up as many times as you liked. Breakfast included cereals, bread and cheese/cold meat, full english, yoghurts, fruit juices etc. All food was cooked to a high standard and the restaurant was open for long enough for it to not become crowded.

Beach
The beach was literally through a gate at the end of the swimming pool - no road to cross. It was a lovely quiet beach with golden sand, no pebbles and a gently sloping shore which meant the kids could have great fun in the sea without worrying about them being out of their depth. There was a bar on the beach front which sold basic meals and beverages. We hired two loungers and a parasol for 13.50 euros for the day

Town
The town was about a 5 min walk away and was nothing special. It had the usual touristy shops and bars but seemd to be frequented mostly by clubbers. Litter strewn the streets and it had a generally 'unkempt' feel about it. We only ventured into town once for the duty free (200 cigs only 18 euros!!) and there was a mini funfare which the kids enjoyed (bouncy castle, dodgems etc). Overlall though, not a lot to write home about.

Our verdict
The pluses - the hotel, the accommodation, the pool, entertainment, restaurant, beach, activities for the kids at the hotel, friendly staff.
The minuses - the town itself, lack of adequate loungers around the pool, cost of drinks if you aren't all-inclusive.

Basically, if you want a fantastic hotel with loads of entertainment for the kids, excellent food, wonderful location on the beach front and a warm, friendly atmosphere, and you are not too bothered about the town it is in (which didnt detract from our holiday as the hotel itself is far enough away from the town for us not to notice unless we ventured into it), then this is the place for you. I would recommend going all inclusive for drinks though!

A fantastic place for families!

We have just arrived home from a lovely 2 week break at our first fiesta hotel and it will definitely not be the last. What nice staff, they could do enough for you from sorting any room problems to ordering you a midnight take away, always with a smile.
The rooms are very spacious with air conditioning that works, are nicely decorated and spotlessly clean.
There are three pools of good sizes with a pool bar, a play area for children of up to about 12 years, all three of our kids disappeared there every night to play with other youngsters for a good couple of hours!
The food is basic but something for everyone and was always hot and well presented. It was all cooked to your liking in front of you and very few ques.
The hotel leads on to the beach which is great no lugging buckets and spades for miles and if the sun goes in a minutes walk back to the room fantastic! There is a bar on the beach belonging the hotel which serves hot and cold drinks and snacks so that you don't have to walk miles for a cold drink.
The all-inclusive drinks package is really worth the money we saved loads as the hotel drinks are a bit expensive and with the kids refusing to move from the pool or beach came in very handy as the could get there own leaving me to relax.
The tickets for the agauarmar water park were really worth the money as we had a full day in there and still didn't go on everything. The food and drinks are very reasonable too so no need for a packed lunch and everything was very nice.
Well done to the reps for the entertainment every night, some fab shows very funny! Don't really know about the kids clubs as ours wernt interested but plenty seamed to be joining in the fun.
Overall a fantastic holiday, a lovely feel to this hotel I felt very safe all the time day and night and we will definitely go back again very soon!

hotel clean but basic.food average for a thomson hotel.fiesta entertainment ok but no where near as good as animation teams ive seen before.waiters not friendly. pool nice.beach nice.planes every 10 minutes ok in day but wake you at night.worth going all inclusive for drinks only option not for food.rooms not big enough for 2 adults 2 children only one wardrobe.what no one else mentions is how windy it is at night,everyone was sitting with blankets round them off the beds.would not go again,if your looking for a fab hotel try hotel esperides in rhodes its beautiful 100 times better than club don toni.
