Beautiful looking hotel - great pool area - rooms large but quite ordinary - best thing was balcony. A bit out of the way, although only a few minutes walk to Plati Gialos Beach, and a few minutes walk to bus stop.

Second Hotel Me and My Wife stayed on during our visit to Greece. We were doing a visit from Athens following to The Cyclades Islands (Mykonos, Paros, Delos and Santorini) of about 2 weeks time :)
We've stayed here for 3 nights and were very pleased with the place, the accommodations and the welcoming of the staff.
The Hotel: This is a 4 star charm hotel located on a scarp, at the beginning of the Plati Gialos town. The hotel has several rooms on the hill which makes good scenery. The lobby is located near a very nice area for visitors rest, decorated with wall fresco paintings and art wooden and glass objects and paintings. Upstairs is the breakfast area and pool bar which is also very nice and calm. The room opens to the exterior where there is the pool and bar tables. The pool is located on the extreme side of the property and some stairs up from there you can enjoy a nice view to the beach bay of Plati Gialos.
The Location: Plati Gialos - A small town located 20min south from Mykonos town (distance by bus - which works very well). Off-center, but has good environment. The beach has excellent restaurants with a romantic and cozy ambiance especially by night. During the day the beach beds are great although a little expensive (8€ for 2 with discount at lunch). It's the best spot of the island for family or romance beach vacation.
The Room: Relatively small and only with one large window which was also the door. Not so many sun light which is nice because the climate is very hot and strong sun.
The Restaurant: Doesn't have one. Only snacks and pizza by the pool bar. But the beach has many god offers and is only 100mts walk.
The Staff: Very attended. We asked to change room because it was near the lobby and had some noise. They replied "pronto”. The lobby guy made also several suggestions for restaurants and gave tips for town.
The Services: Quiet Bar, Nice Pool.
General Opinion: Cozy. Nice pool. On a hill. Quiet and relaxing. Very good staff.
Definitely a comeback to rest and enjoy a quiet romantic holiday and enjoy the beach and the sea food.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful room and community areas of the hotel. More important then the physical plant for us, however, is the staff. We found all the staff very helpful.
Angelo at the front desk was pleasant and answered all our concerns in a timely manner. Kamel was outstanding. He appeared like magic whenever we needed him. He was also delightful to chat with. The young woman who worked the bar was quick to take care of us and kept the area extremely clean.
Thanks to the entire staff for a delightful stay.

My wife, daughter and I recently spent time in Greece and a few of the islands one of them being Mykonos. We stayed at the Pelican Bay and the rooms, pool and breakfast were excellent. The only thing that was disappointing was the overall service of the staff and the hotel clerk or manager. It seemed if someone had a problem or request he always made an excuse rather than try and find a solution. It was such a shame since this is really a very nice hotel. We may have been spoiled because prior to spending time on Mykonos we spent a few days on Santorini at the Princess and they just went out of their way to make you welcome and comfortable. Would not take much to make this a very nice hotel.
