Myself, my husband and sister and brother in law have just returned from Club Andria. The place is very dated and in need of maintenance with missing and broken paving slabs under foot outside and cupboard doors hanging off furniture inside. Some rooms had main lights with exposed wires and baths with stained and eroded enamel. There is a general atmosphere of apathy amongst the staff and after the first futile attempts to get some attention to the rooms we realised that it was pointless in complaining, - we just had to put up with it.
The staff are not friendly in the dining room and speak only spanish. sometimes there is not a menu available to know what is being eaten, which is very important to people on special diets or vegetarians. The electricity is switched off in the dining area promptly at mealtimes and before the closing times stated. On one occasion, I was in the middle of cooking toast on the antiquated toaster at breakfast time when the electricity was switched off to the appliance regardless of the fact that the staff knew that we were still eating our breakfast. Although we had taken the option of all inclusive the meals were all of a sameness and many people including ourselves were compelled to eat elsewhere usually once per day rather than face the monotony of the food and the miserable surroundings of the dining room 3 times per day.
I could continue on this theme.
However, to conclude, I feel regret that our first experience of Menorca has been spoilt by staying at this place.
