Don't go to Le Pondy durring peak summer season (May-June). Apart from the rooms nothing is air conditioned. Everything including the reataurant, spa and the lobby is open from all sides. We went there for 1 night in May and could not get out of our rooms before 5 pm. We even had to get room service for our lunch as it was too hot to be in the restaurant.
I imagine that in monsoons and so called winter season of South India the place would be beautiful. It is green and peaceful and is right next to the beach, but they don't provide any beach chairs even if they claim in their broucheres that they do.
We stayed in the presidential pool villa which is the best that they had. The in room pool area was nice and big. The only difference between their luxury pool villa rooms and presidential pool villa rooms is the living room which is nothing but a small sitout place with a couple of sofas. The room itself was quite spacious.
Overall a nice place to relax but not in summers.
