My boyfriend and i (both in out 20's) stayed at the hotel for a week in December. Hving previously stayed at Rui just down the road we wern't sure what to expect but upon arrival quite late at night we were instantly impressed. The staff, in a word were fantastic! we were shocked to find a reception guy that we'd met at Riu the previous year on reception! Food was fantastic, the grill chef brilliantly friendly and always tryin to persuade us to eat more! The pool was great, lovely and clean and never busy!! one small thing to note is the lack of food suitable for children, we can't see our toddler eating most of the food available and one little boy sat slose to us just seemed to be eating bread!
The only downside was a noise from our air conditioning unit at night, because it happened when we turned the light off we put it down to being some kind of animal, an engineer came out twice but could never locate the souce. In hindsight we should have asked to move rooms but not being ones to complain we put up with it, Saying that, it was more of an irritating noise than anything else and we are confident it was just a one off in our room so can't fault the hotel for it!
one thing we did feel dissapointed with was the entertainment, the entertainment bar was CLOSED! two nights out of seven, granted one of these was because of the staff Christmas do but still, we felt slightly let down. the entertianment was generally good, prehaps centred more for the older audience but as we were taking a relaxing holiday we wern't too bothered! There wasn't many families or other couples our age at the hotel and many of the guests were German but we found them nice and polite. I'd definately go back in an instant, for us, it was exactly what we wanted, whether we'd take our son is another question as we were concerned by the lack choice of food for him.
I don't want this review to read negatively i just wanted to point out the minor problems, we're off to Gran Canaria instead this year otherwise the two of us would definatlely have stayed at this hotel.

My wife and I have just returned from Los Jameoas Playa and I can say without doubt that the standards are excellent.
We stayed on a B&B basis and the choice at breakfast was excellent. The hot food was mainly cooked while you waited and the choice of cold food was extensive. Thought we might pay over the odds for drinks on site but their charges were much about the same as the bars off site. staff were excellent and always helpful.
NOW FOR THE DOWNSIDE
All along the front they are laying new pipelines and the work is extensive with drilling machines and diggers in operation. If you think that you might change to another hotel of like quality nearby you would probably choose the San Antonio - DONT - they are experiencing the same problems.
As a guide the buses are being diverted and taxis have to take an alternative route from Los Jameos to Puerto del carmen first heading out towards the aiport.
All in all a wonderful place to stay except for the roadworks

My husband and I stayed here for a week, all inclusive. First impressions are wonderful, lovely large foyer, lots of timber and very bright and airy. Check-in was fine and we were taken to our room. I was a little worried about the room, as I'd been told that they were a bit dated. However, we loved it. It was a good size, again lots of timber and the colour scheme was bright - lots of blues - something we were going to see alot of! Only niggle was the blackout blind wasn't hanging properly, but after a couple of tries managed to learn to pull it so that it blocked out the light - we didn't report it. Temp in the room was always perfect. Balcony is small, but it's fine. Our looked onto the beach.

The whole resort is lovely, it wasn't overly busy, so we didn't have problems with getting sun loungers or anything, we just went out when we were ready - often as late as mid-day and always found we could get a lounger anywhere we liked. Pool was quiet most of the time, bit deeper than I was comfortable with, but used to walk in from section that started at 0m and was then able to walk as far as I liked and go back when it got too deep.

Food, the jury was out on for a few days. Initially I was quite disappointed and couldn't understand why so many people thought it was good. However, after a day or two, we got used to where everything was and where the theme-night related food was. The desserts are great! Breakfast is to 10:30, but getting there at 10:20, they are already clearing stuff away. That quite annoyed me!! I got there earlier one morning and found that breakfast is very good - just that much of the options are stopped by 10:20ish!!!

There is coffee and cakes from 3-5 - pancakes are gorgeous - too filling, but worth it!!

We were lucky with good weather, not sure how much we'd have had to do in bad weather though.

The nightly entertainment was fine - not too exciting, but it was different every night. We usually chatted together and enjoyed our night. The Abba tribute band was great - but the shortest of all the acts for the week!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, staff were lovely all of the time. We will be back!

really good hotel, but in dreadful location. Outside the gates it was as though we had stepped into a different world. Terrible
shops and grotty restaurants. Like Blackpool. We took a taxi to
the next town, but it was the same, only worse. We had wanted to eat out one night, but decided the hotel could not be bettered.
We were half-board and the buffet menu was really good. THe
receptionists were not terribly friendly and we had a difficult first
night, as we arrived late and found it was impossible to relocate
our bedroom. They refused to come and lead us there and only
pointed it out on a tiny map! However, all that apart, we did enjoy
ourselves and loved the garden and pools.

First Of All this hotel Is The best Hotel I have Ever Been to.
It has everything Any Family would want. Its great food. Two Big swimming pools And right beside the beach.
Great staff!
I would defently recomend This hotel.
I used to sit out with my family By the Pool During the evening With A Drink And It was great. A single Day of the week was a different meal like one night we had a chef and the next we had a different chef.
It is a great hotel even though we didnt get a gud room view but we didnt care cus we loved our room still and we loved going around the shops(At the end of the hotel you go out a gate and theres loads of shops). I love shopping and i got a gorgous gucci designer silver bag for only 20 Euros.
Awesome hotel.
