We stayed here for the last 10 days in May and enjoyed the best choice, quality, presentation and cleanliness of food we have had in any holiday hotel before (and we’ve stayed in plenty).
Maybe it’s because it' s German owned and run. Staff welcoming and friendly throughout.
The choice of food at each meal time is unbelievable for meat eaters and vegetarians alike.
The hotel is situated right by a pleasant beach, with several more within walking distance but overall there is very little else around.
Puerto del Carmen is a little tacky but has a nice beach and several good looking restaurants (although we didn’t try them as we had booked all inclusive, well worth the extra money).
Most of our time was spent in the well kept hotel garden, grounds and by the pool (no need for towels at dawn as there were always plenty of beds near or around the pools. The heated pool was lovely for the first 3 or 4 days then we noticed a distinct drop in its temperature (did they turn the heat off?)
The hotel is constantly being cleaned throughout the day to a high standard.
Our bedroom (4031) was fine although the bedding and curtains are a little dated in looks but very clean. We had a lovely view of the gardens, pools and sea.
Don’t be put off by the "Mexican ranch" style looking entrance. It’s like entering a "tardis"
What little we saw of Lanzarote was disappointing. The weather can be very changeable and a little too breezy but it didn’t spoil our holiday. We all came back with good tans. The island is too barren and black for us so we won’t be going back but will certainly look for other hotels run by "the seaside hotel group"
