We stayed here for the last 10 days in May and enjoyed the best choice, quality, presentation and cleanliness of food we have had in any holiday hotel before (and we’ve stayed in plenty).
Maybe it’s because it' s German owned and run. Staff welcoming and friendly throughout.
The choice of food at each meal time is unbelievable for meat eaters and vegetarians alike.
The hotel is situated right by a pleasant beach, with several more within walking distance but overall there is very little else around.
Puerto del Carmen is a little tacky but has a nice beach and several good looking restaurants (although we didn’t try them as we had booked all inclusive, well worth the extra money).
Most of our time was spent in the well kept hotel garden, grounds and by the pool (no need for towels at dawn as there were always plenty of beds near or around the pools. The heated pool was lovely for the first 3 or 4 days then we noticed a distinct drop in its temperature (did they turn the heat off?)
The hotel is constantly being cleaned throughout the day to a high standard.
Our bedroom (4031) was fine although the bedding and curtains are a little dated in looks but very clean. We had a lovely view of the gardens, pools and sea.
Don’t be put off by the "Mexican ranch" style looking entrance. It’s like entering a "tardis"
What little we saw of Lanzarote was disappointing. The weather can be very changeable and a little too breezy but it didn’t spoil our holiday. We all came back with good tans. The island is too barren and black for us so we won’t be going back but will certainly look for other hotels run by "the seaside hotel group"

plenty of loungers but hotel didnt seem half full

hotel is made up of 6 different low rise buildings all connected on the 2nd floor there are lifts
our roomwas 4011 lovely sea view but a bit of a trek to the pool area so if your not into walkin request a poolside room

thought they were cheeky as you had to pay for rental of tennis court and the rackets i thought becauseyou were stayin it would be free no one even using the court, even mini golf there was a charge

as in past reviews when checking in organise ure pool towel voucher, safe cost us €32 for 2 weeks, mini bar nice as no other fridge facility in room handy for drinks etc

Lovely looking hotel lovely stair way landscaped gardens and kept so clean and the pools are quite large one heated and one cooler pool

Nice back gate that brings you straight to the beach
and taxi and bus stop right outside hotel bus only 1 euro each to any place in peurto del carmen

Stayed at this hotel end May and had a great overall stay.

Good Points
Great location – very near the beach and only a few minutes from Purto Del Carmen (3.50 in taxi).
Excellent pool area – always loads of sun loungers and umbrellas. Pool fantastic.
Very clean facilities
Room small but very comfortable and kept really clean.
Staff were excellent to deal with, very friendly and helpful.
We had a few faults in our room, but they were dealt with efficiently and promptly.
You can request bathrobes in your room and these are very useful.

Things to consider:
Upgraded our room to a Type C room – not work the 150 euro as room was exactly the same as A&B, just had a DVD player, tea / coffee making facilities & larger balcony (we did not really get to use any of these.
Nightly entertainment was poor compaired to other hotels we have stayed in in Lanzarote.
Stayed here with my Grandmother and the room was a long distance away from reception – no problem for me, but can be for an elderly person.
Breakfast was good, but not great – I found the selection a little limiting.

Hope this helps!! Good overall stay and would probable stay again.

We stayed here for 1 week at the end of May and had a really enjoyable time. The layout of the pool area is lovely and the room was all we needed (wine in room on arrival was nice touch) with a decent sized balcony.

There was no issue getting a sun lounger at any time of day (hotel was busy enough but probably some distance from full).

We went for the B&B option and the selection available for breakfast was vast, I can't fault anything I had to eat. The themed buffet dinners wouldn't appeal to me but as we didn't go for this option I can't really comment.

The staff were very accommodating and pleasant. There do appear to be some internal communication issues however: I reported that the air conditioning wasn't working when we arrived and was advised that someone was on their way to investigate, this never happened and as the temperature in the room was fine I did not pursue the matter. Also the night before we left we were advised there was a breakfast pack available for departing guests if we would like to book it. We did so but the person on the desk the following morning had never heard of such an option, there was 1 or 2 other things like that.

The hotel is only yards from the beach but is the best part of an hour's walk from the heart of Puerto Del Carmen (only between 3 and 4 euro in a taxi).

All in all we were very happy with the hotel, couple of things to sort immediately on check-in (as opposed to making several calls to reception):
Card for safe
Key for minibar/fridge
Iron/ironing board
Pool towel tokens

BTW: No kettle in room!

I read the reviews before we went and thought, eh it couldn't be all fab.......BUT IT WAS ! The food, the staff, the accommodation, very very relaxing. Just one thing.........do Germans EVER smile ?! There were lots of Germans, French, English and a few Irish, everyone friendly but not one German returned my 'hello' or smile during the whole week ! maybe us Irish are just toooooo friendly. Would recommend this place to couples looking for a romantic relaxing week, and a 5 mins in a tax (cost €3) to go downtown Puerto Del Carmen. Saw other accommodation while we were there and they did not come up to scratch comparied to Los Jameos Playa. We'll be back next year.
