Just got back from a weeks all inclusive (2-9 November).

Firstly may I just say that this hotel was not as bad as a few reviews make out!
We booked it as we went to the Green Oasis in Gran Canaria the same time last year and it was great, and to be honest out of the 2 places, we would recommend the Gran Canaria one more.

The reception is NOT up a steep hill, it is up a slight hill.

The food was constantly monitored with thermometers, and when we were there even full trays of food were switched if they we cold. Chips went far too fast by the English anyway for them to get cold!

When you go abroad, you need to remember it is not England, so you have to accept that the food is not going to be like McDonalds!
They always provided some sort of potato (ie Chips, roast potatoes, fried potatoes) and some sort of veg (ie sweetcorn, carrots, green beans), fish (ie sole, tuna) and meat (lamb chop, chicken breast, portk chop). There was tons of fresh salad, and lots of rice salad, pasta salad, egg salad etc. There was always pasta and sauce every day.
There was even a BBQ one lunchtime.

In between meal times there were chips, burgers, hot dogs and salad, so if you didn't like what was on offer, just wait for the snacks to come out.
Breakfast was lovely too - eggs WERE cooked whether they were scrambled or fried!
If you are the sad sort of person that only feeds their kids on chicken nuggets and chips - THEY HAD THESE 1 NIGHT TOO!!!

There were coffee and tea machines outside the restaurant, so you COULD have a cup of tea at lunch time and evening meal time.

You do get what you pay for in this hotel, and for what it cost, it did the job. English are just too snobby and want too much for nothing.

Yes, the entertainment was dire, and yes the hotel has just been taken over (Monday 6 November), and yes all the staff have been sacked, but you have to make the most of it. As long as there is food and drink (and sun) you can't go wrong.

Oh, and it actually states on the welcome leaflet from the hotel that towels are changed 5 days out of 7!!!

Booked 2 Weeks Holiday/Honeymoon With Child And Parents.

On Arrival Noticed Paintwork Etc In Need Of Sprucing Up. Apartment Very Clean, Fresh Towels And Bedding 5days Out Of 7. Cleaner Very Friendly.

Food Began Reasonable, Went Downhill Fast. No Choice, Undercooked/Overcooked Dependant On Type. No Childrens Menu Except Chips!!!! We Ate Out Most Evenings And Some Mornings, Severely Bumped Up Cost Of Holiday. Cosmos Rep Informed Us Food Ok When We Complained!!!!

Drinks- Alcohol Ok, Mixers Cheap Rubbish, Not Branded, Tasted Plasticky!!!!

Tiled Floors Very Hot And Slippery When Wet.

Glad To Go Home Will Not Return Ever!!!!!!

We have just returned from a 2 week all inclusive at this apartment. We went as a family two children age 2,7.
We ended up spending an extra £900 taking the kids out for something to eat because the food was ,how can i say ?i woulden't let my dog eat it. And all the reviews that say there's something for everyone, well there's not. There's no selection for the children, and i cut into a pork chop and there was blood. There were cockroaches on the bread, and when i told the staff they just laughed at me.

We were told there was entertainment for the children(10min disco, and 30min show in three different languages). The pool areas are clean we spent most of our time at the top pool. And the apartments are o.k. .

We were even informed by the staff that it is being taken over in november and they all lose there job's so no-one was bothered what the customers thought. The rep diden't even know.

We went to a nice chinese just down the hill on your left, and a nice resturant called dolce vita at the harbour, also the purple turtle is good for breakfast and tea.

Basically don't go here with children, we only survied because we met two other couples with children, if your in a couple or a group it's o.k. Oh and it's stated that it's 3 star when there's a sign over the door saying 2 star.

I would not ever go back here.

we arrived to find we had to lug our cases up a steep hill to reception, 4 cases, 2 kids and a buggy!! hard work!
apartment was very big and spacious as we had been given a 2 bedroomed one, they were very clean.
food was ok ,the soup was gorgeous and the chips if they were hot!! not very often thou..
we were told there was a snack bar serving snacks all day and there wasn;t it was situated in the restaurant which was a bit of a pain, would of been more ideal at the pool bar, especially if you were at the top pool which we were, was a bit of a trek just to get a burger!!
the beer was great but the soft drinks tasted like stagnant water!!
entertainment was ok, bingo in 3 languages was funny!!
staff were pretty miserable except for a few!
when we booked this holiday we were told it was 3 star and infact it is a 2 star....!
we ate out a couple of nights, had a lovely chinese..and a mcdonalds!!

we made some lovely friends ,im glad we did because thats what made our holiday!! xxxx

This is our second trip to Lanzarote last year staying at Costa Tequise and as we spent most of our time in puerto de carmen last time (shops nightlife and beaches) we decided to book a hotel in the area.
Upon arriving we hauled our cases up to reception as there is quite a steep hill from the main road not too much a problem for adults but a nightmare for little ones with cases, Seemed to spend ages in reception as nobody seemed to have the slightest idea as to where the new guests were to be allocated to the dismay of the receptionist who did her best even though other staff there were constantly waving arms around and shouting.
Our room seemed fine and we were quite content even after finding out that the large pool had some maintenance work to be done and would be out of action for our stay as they had two small pools until we went to get some food,
I know this isnt a top of the range hotel and quite cheap so we accepted what was on offer at first there though it was very basic and not much choice.
Next day we had our lunch which had runner beans then came dinner which also had runner beans and would you believe what was sat on the hot counter for breakfast next day looking a bit worse for wear........RUNNER BEANS !!!, One guest was arguing to a waiter about the state of the fried eggs which were not cooked and very runny and was being told that no new eggs would not be cooked until the 8 or 9 that were there had gone, I have never had scrambled eggs that you could not pick up with a fork before but this hotel seemed to provide it every day it looked more like soup.
They did not cater for childrens food at all, every hotel I`ve been to does things like chicken nuggetts, pizza, little sausages and burgers on explaining this to the rep was told this hotel caters for the German more than the English and German kids dont eat that sort of food I haven`t been to Germany yet but from the sound of things nor has Mcdonalds.
You could not have a cup of tea or coffee with your lunch or dinner you had to go to the pool bar which was quite a hike all uphill as this was two hotels knocked into one and to get there and find it was shut when it was open the sevice was so slow as the 20 cats that reside there when open (see photo) they seemed to get preferential treatment from the lady who worked there the cats were just wandering inside all over the food counters while she fed them burgers and sausages.
Hence we spent most of mealtimes in the chinese restaurant or in the town.
The evening entertainment here is not up to much and doesn`t last long not sure if thats a good or bad thing, The childrens club entertainers in the day seem more interested in sitting in their little office and seem real put out to play any games with the children.
We complained and managed to get a move after four days to another hotel.
I would not recomend this hotel to anyone .....STAY AWAY OR STAY AT HOME
