We stayed at the Don Paco for one week, and stayed all inclusive.
It is what it says in the brochure, clean,comfortable and very central for all facilities. The resort centre of Peurto Del Carmen is about 30 minutes walk along the very attractive prom or 2 stops on the local bus for 1 euro each. The Don Paco offers very basic levels of rooms, always cleaned and towels changed, the pools were excellent in hygiene standards although they could be a bit warmer. The all inclusive restaurant offers a generally good standard of food at all meals and being self service you can eat as much as you want. You can have beer, wine or soft drinks with lunch and dinner all free to all inclusive clients.
The bar at El Poton in the complex is very roomy with plenty of seats, inside or out if hot and sunny.
Most drinks are served in plastic cups which annoys a few guests but this is better than broken glass around the pool.
The reception staff are so helpful and the evening entertainment downstairs in the Disco bar is adequate for most.
Overall, we had a great stay and at a reasonable price.

well when we got to lanzorote airport we had no suttle bus to take us to our hotel so had to get us a taxi and to be honest that was better.But when we got to the orginal hotel we was staying in they said they had had problems and was transfering us to another hotel,what a start to the holiday!!!!.when we got to don paco castilla the reception staff couldnt have been more helpful,they gave us alot of info on the complex and a map.we found our apartment which i must say was lovely,very clean,bright,with a bedroom living room,kitchen area.
there was 4 pools around with plenty of sun beds,never had a problem finding one,but i must say the pools was freezing cold and i mean cold.
the main bar was nice ,dont have the cocktails they come out of a bottle ,they are not made up for you and dont really taste good,the local "balieys" is worth a try ,we lived on it while we was there very nice,also the snaps.there was never any problem getting a drink from this bar but if you went to the "disco" you had to wait so i would get 2 at a time.when i say "disco" dont get excited they do childrens entertament first then a show (worth watching for a laugh if nothing else)then they MAY put some music on.all inclusive finsihs at 11 so most people go so they stop the music .
we went all inclusive ,i am not a fussy eater at all i love my food ,but the food was not good.breakfast wasnt to bad,the bacon was all fat.they cooked eggs fresh for you,(we had egg on toast every moring)i lived on salad all week which i must say was very nice they filled up all the time so was always fresh,the bread was hard and stale.when ever you went in to the restuarant all you could smell was garlic(i like garlic but this was to much for me)they put it in every thing even peas,carrots.every thing was in sauces and some times you wasnt sure what the meat was even though there was signs above(NOT IN ENGLISH),one day i picked up some meat that i thought was pork and my friend said it was chicken??!!!! they did do mussels one day which was lovely.we went out to eat 2 times at night,plus we ordered a take away pizza from the pool bar/al a carte restuarant(YES pizza from al a carte!!!) but you guessed it was full of garlic.
all in all we had a good holiday very quiet and relaxing,but i wouldnt go all inclusive.
i must sat all the staff that we met was lovely and very friendly.just dont go for the food

we've just returned back from don paco thought a few tips and hints may be helpful.
On arrival we arrived at 12.30 but had to use the luggage room and told to return 1 hour or later for a room (later learned that usual checkin is 2pm) so if your early go to a bar by the beach as were not sure if the bars on site except money, as we never got served.
It seems that most english/irish tourists tend to get allocated blocks 100/200 german/spanish/italian get 300/400/500.
we stayed in 100s without aircon
The don paco can supply items like fans,umbrellas .tv channels at a charge.
If you need to change money go to carmen as the rate was 1.28 on 19/3 or in the hotel at 1.20
Taxi trips are now arround 9 euros to the old town as you have to take the long route because the main beach road is closed to traffic ,taxi 2 market around 25euros
The market has a cash point (rear of taxi rank) but nowhere to change notes to euros.
and finally watch out for the extras in resuarants like garlic toast, bread rolls etc that appear with your meal and then get charged for them

Booked the Don Paco with Travel Agent and consider we got good value for the money. Stayed Self-Catering and would say the 1 bedroom apartment is sufficient for 2 people only.The apartment has a TV and air-conditionong if required - both have to be paid for. Towels were changed daily and cleaned every other day on our 11 day visit. The site has 4 pools (all equiped with sunbeds), supermarket (poor) and very little entertainment, just a Disco/Theatre bar on a night.
Thereare 2 supermarkets, cafe bars, restaraunts and a bank within 500mtrs of the Don Paco.
The real entertainment is in Del Carmen - a good 25 minute walk, but there a plenty of buses (1 Euro) and taxis (3 to 4 Euros) to get you there and back.
So all-in-all good value for the money we paid !!
