booked this in the summer and didnt expect much as it was a 2 star. found the staff very helpful and had good banter with the bar man. a man called toni in reception couldnt speak any english but still managed to be extremely helpful in booking taxis. nice guy, any time we booked a taxi it only cost an extra 25 cent and i was never waiting longer than 90 seconds.

the pool was also massive and i loved sitting in the bar early evening. the rooms were basic but as it was 2 star it got the job done. it is extremely warm though and as lanzarote is very windy if you leave the window open it will bang! but it was fine as it provided all basic and necessary needs while the view from the balcony didnt hurt. the staff also organized a marvellous tour of the island which included a camel ride. terrific experience.

do yourself a favour and head into town, its only 4 euro in a taxi and theres plenty to do. i strongly recommend cafe le ola at the bottom of the strip from where you head into town. its also easy enough to get home.

“Great Value for money apartments”

Los Pueblos

We stayed at the Los Pueblos apartments for a week over the xmas period. We arrived late at night after a londg delay, the rec staff were really pleasant. We were a bit weary as we had booked our hol independent, which meant we had to make our own way to the apartments. We needn't have worried, we got a taxi no problem and the driver instantly knew where the apartment were. I am so glad we didn't book the transfers as the Taxi only cost us 14 Euros.

The apartments were really clean and the balcony was huge, one of the largest i'v ever seen. We stayed in room 307 which was a one bedroom and had a view of the pool, would def recommend this room. The apartments dont have a tv but you can hire them from the reception for 24 Euros pw.

The pool is heated so even though it was December the kids were still in the pool everyday, infact they said it was warmer in the pool than it was out!!!!!!!! There is a really pleasent pool bar serving food and drink all day and a games room next to the bar with a pool table and air hockey machine, quite expensive though.

The only negative to these apartment is they are a little too far out from the town and at the top of the hill, but if you don't mind paying for taxi's it's great. Taxi's cost us 3 Euros.

I def recommend Lanzarote, i have been to many of places and don't like going to a same place twice but this is one of my favourites and I will def go back there, not sure if it would be to the same apartments but only because of the distance otherwise there great.

Best place to eat is chiquitos in the new town best food by far and one of the cheapest restaurants. Best bar we went to was Sunset beach great atmosphere and brill for the kids.

Happy Holidays.

Nice apt. with a large terrasse - room 313. Problems on the 19th of dec - heavy rain and strong winds. Rain floated from terrasse into the livingroom - impoosible to control. The maids came with ONE green towel BEFORE it had started to rain - so they knew about the problem. When we went to the reseption and explained the problem - we got NO help - We had to use all the towels trying to soak up the water - hard work for two hours. Had to go to the reseption and get new towels - no made came to clean up the mess - had to do it ourselves - The apt. was not cleaned for a whole week - no new bed linnen for the whole week. We went by APOLLO - called the service office and reported the accident - not only our apt floated with water - lots of others had the same problem.
Los pueblos is a quiet place - no traffic - the pool bar has high prises!! Dont eat at Marios - this is a cafeteria - go downtown og to the small restaurant just on the top of Av. Reina Sofia - very near Los Pueblos - just beside the flowershop - MAX food - max service - very nice prices - PERFECT.
Two great supermarked 5 min walk down Av. Reina Sofia - the biggest and best on your left side walking down the road.

Pool OK - nice, warm water! No madresses on the pool-chairs . very hard to lie just on a small towel! People in reseption speak english - but not very helpfull/serviceminded. We bought a trip to the sundaymarked in Tequise at the hotel - perfect arrangement - and cheeper than the offer from our travelagent. Payed 12 og 13 Euro p.p. - very nice day at the huge marked. Piced up at nine and came back at one - just on scheddule.

A very nice place to stay if someone can garantee you NO RAIN!! and who can?? even in Lanzarote there is rain now and than.

“Great Basic Accommmodation”

Los Pueblos

We were very pleased with our accomodation. A sea view, very roomy apartment with two balconies, one very large and the whole place was extremely clean with maid service almost daily. We paid £134 for the week and thought it was excellent value. All the staff we spoke to were friendly. A lot of the sunbeds were broken but we only spent about 2 days in total by the pool. Not a good spot in the resort for the elderly or those with walking difficulties but taxis are cheap and buses frequent. A handful of bars and restaurants are within immediate walki g distance or the harbour area is about a 15 minute stroll away but very steep hills. The centre of Puerto del Carmen is about a 25 minute stroll. It's about £10 in a taxi to/from the airport.

We stayed here for a week over New Year. The hotel is a little bit basic, but was also really cheap, so good value on the whole.

The location is good, but a short, steep walk from Puerto del Carmen harbour, but the sea view more than compensates, and the balconies are huge.

Our bathroom and kitchenette were both a little old and tired-looking, but clean and equipped with just about everything we needed.

The bar and pool areas were quiet when we stayed, but the staff were helpful enough.

If you're looking for luxury, you'll be disappointed... but if you want a base for a week in a pleasant town, with stunning sea views across to Fuerteventura, you won't go far wrong.
