This is an excellent villa hotel with a small number of rooms, (12 to 14), situated between the airport and Arrecife. The hotel was originally a private residence but has been changed into a lovely peaceful spot with great pool and superb gardens containing many little nooks and crannies for sunbathing and relaxing. There are lots of sun beds, some in the pool area, plus mattresses and towels supplied.
The very well decorated rooms range from well appointed doubles to suites; one with a Jacuzzi. Bathroom and shower areas are luxurious.
Outside, near the pool is a heated communal Jacuzzi; not quite ready for use at this time.
There are several other quiet areas for "chilling out", a terrace, covered barbeque area and restaurant rooms as well as a lounge bar with tasteful, furnishings. During our stay we also had access to bicycles and fitness equipment. The food and services were of a very high standard; especially the dinners, which very, very good and at times "heavenly” There is an excellent English chef, and plenty of staff to look after all your needs. The head of house, Justo and his top organiser, Vanesa went out of their way to make our holiday a tremendous success. Down to going out specially one evening to bring in special "Lime" juice for us and even arranging for a slightly noisy pool filter to be switched off at "quieter" times of the day and night.
From the Villa Vik to the airport is only a very short taxi ride and the airport, although close, did not interfere with the holiday at all. The villa is about 20 minutes from the nearest fabulous beach at Arrecife and a car might be an expedient option. The hotel would be suitable for those who want a quiet, relaxing holiday and expect high standards of location, food and services.
