My wife and I, both around 60 years of age, stumbled across this hotel for a weeks winter sunshine break. And what a stroke of luck it was booking this hotel. On the entrance to the hotel there is a Rotary International sign which, whilst not being a member, gives a general indication that the hotel will be reasonable. Other reviews descibed the hotel as dated, and whilst this is true in some respects, it now has the feeling of a traditional hotel with traditional standards, sucha s being shown to your table by a waiter and not allowing beach style wear in the restaurant. PLEASE DON'T CHANGE IT. The Reception Staff were curteous, helpful and friendly and the hotel was very clean with daily cleaning of the rooms and service areas. The Restaurant gave an exeptional choice of food which was plentiful and of a high standard with a considerable number of choices from it's buffet style serving areas making us spoiled for choice at each meal. The nightly entertainment consisted usually of a two piece "band" and an hours interlude by a cabaret act. The entertainment was varied and interesting and usually of a good standard. The hotel offers a considearble range of facilities, three pools, tennis, pool, table tennis,TV lounge, smoking terrace and smoking room and being situated right on the beach, arrangements were made by the hotel staff for games such as archery, boule and others on the beach on a daily basis.
All in All, I would highly recommend this hotel to any one, perhaps the younger element may want more "night life" than is offered her.
