The only reason I can imagine that this hotel is classified as 4* is that the owner bribed somebody to get the stars.
Location: 500 m from the nearest beach, which is a very dirty one on a fisherman harbor. 2 km away from the central beach of Byala. The hotel provides free rides to the central beach with a 30 years old bus, but there you must pay for chairs and umbrellas.
Rooms: rooms are ok, but if you want new towels, sheets, etc. you should ask for them. There was no fridge in the room, we also had to ask for one and they took it from another room.
Restaurant: 40 seats for 200 people, in an underground room. You need to wait your turn outside in the heat.
All inclusive food and drinks: This is the worse part of all. Food was not bad at taste, but not enough for everybody. Usually at lunch and dinner they served 2-3 main courses, some potatoes , 2 salads, cake or biscuits, 2 kinds of fruits (always apples and apricots). If you are not quick enough you can end up eating just fries and meatballs, which were used to fill the empty trays. In one week they served just chicken and pork, no fish and no beef.
They serve local drinks in 3 bars: one at the reception, where is the only coffee machine (which has no bartender, you should ask somebody from the crew to serve you). The second bar , working from 9 am to 6 pm is near the pool, this one is ok, except the fact that are a lot of of bees around you should be aware of. The third bar is on the roof of the hotel and works from 6 pm to 11 pm. It requires a good memory to know where and when you can drink a cheap bulgarian drink.
The pool: much smaller than you can imagine from the pictures (about 8m/20m). They change the water every month, no further comment on that.
Entertainment: they had pool gym and short shows every evening. Not much, but better than nothing.
The personnel: the whole crew has maximum 20 people. The usual attitude is like "take it or leave it" or "that's the way the things are working here". Pretty hard to find somebody speaking English. A good remark for bartenders.
