We booked our holiday to Kos with last minute. com for an amazing £309 incl half board, flights taxes etc so had fairly low expectations of this 5* hotel.
We were very pleasantly suprised. The hotel though not particularly attractive outside has huge marble with crystal chandeliers leather settees etc reception areas, fantastic helpful staff and our bedroom (we were upgraded to a suite at no extra charge) was large, clean comfortable with views to die for from the balcony all across the bay to Turkey 3 miles away.
Kos town was a pretty harbour 5 mins drive away with plenty of history, shops and restaurants.
We had read warnings on trip advisor to be sure that your invoice does not state Iberostar Kipriotis Panorama/ maris hotel and we were glad we did as we would have been very disappointed to have been put in the Maris (sister hotel) which was 4* and no views.
The pools and pool bars were an excellent place to relax (tho pools unheated) and dining room spacious, clean and food, buffet style and plentiful tho a little repetative.
We would certainly go back and plan to but a bit earlier than mid october as not much was going on and our trips out exploring were cancelled due to lack of numbers. I think September would be perfect hot and sunny and more going on though i imagine the hotel gets very crowded with families in the summer months

Be prepared. that is my motto for booking this hotel.booked kipriotis panorama but got the Maris instead. pleasant but not 5 star which was what i booked. was advised that you can be put anywhere on the complex. if it had not been for the staff at the Maris our holiday would have been abysmal . the managaement were not interested all they were interested in was that the L'oreal conference went without a hitch. with the result hotel was overbooked and so we were relegated to the Maris. the people from the conference mostly our eastern european neighbours Russian, Polish,Estonian. do not know how to behave away from home . they are noisy ignorant and extremely greedy yet they get first class treatment there. food in the Maris not a patch on Panorama , we were put there eventually 9 days into out holiday and only because it was closing. along with everyone else in the complex. you certainly get taken to cleaners by that company. so unless you are prepared to waste a great deal of time arguing and getting nowwhere steer clear is my advise. go to its sister hotel in Crete to iberstar Creta Panorama . at least if that is what you booked for that is what you get

“Panorama suited us just fine!”

We've been back to the hotel twice in 2 years! The staff are really friendly, the hotel is faultlessly clean and want to go back on 2008.
If there is any faults at all with the hotel they are that the buffet can get a bit repetitive if there for 2 weeks, and there isn't that much in the way of entertainment - apart from a local playing an electric piano each night.
You can use the neighbouring sister hotel, but why bother the Panorama in my opinion is heaps better!
As a tip get a taxi from the airport (around 20-25 euros) it saves big time on getting transferred and takes about 30 mins.
Enjoy - its worth it!

“Not a 5 star worthy”

We are from Belgium but we would like to share our experience with english speaking people because we saw a lot of them in our hotel. We arrived at 1'o clock in the night so we were very tired but pleasantly surprised about the hotel appearance. Very clean, imposant and modern. But the problems started at the reception. A luggage boy took our suitcases, we went to the first floor, a long way into the corridors, then back outside through a carpark and we arrived in another building which we didn't pay for. The room was like secondhanded. Furniture damaged, wall and ceiling damaged, our view was a wall, the bathroom was disgusting. No way, we were going to spend our first night overhere! The thing that bothered me, is that they didn't say anything to us, no warning at all that the hotel was overbooked. We took our suitcases and discussed for a LONG time and we wanted another room in the main building itself. The reception manager explained to us that he can't make any decisions and we had to wait until 9'o clock in the morning. One thing we have learned is that there are a lot of people in uniform with tie and a nameplate that mentions 'manager' but none of them will take responsibility. Angry and tired we waited until the next morning and we saw someone, dressed normally with tie, no nameplate, and we knew that he good take a decision. Eventually they moved us to the main building and gave us a junior suite with seaview. So don't give up and demand what you have paid for! Kim

“Immaculate Hotel”

Iberostar Kipriotis Panorama

We stayed at this hotel by default - we were originally booked to go to the Kos Aqua Club but MedHotels cancelled as they had double booked. We were very fortunate as the Panorama is a fabulous hotel. The accommodation is immaculate and the staff are very helpful and courteous. It was my daughter's birthday whilst we were there and they reserved a special table for her on Greek Night and sang happy birthday and gave her a special cake. The food was excellent and varied. The cocktails in the bar were wonderful (especially the Iberostar Surprise).

There is plenty of space for everyone and you can use any of the four hotels on the complex depending on your tastes. The Kos Bay View is noisier and more suitable for families, has waterslides and the kids club The Panorama is very quiet and has a life guard stopping inflatables and any noise. I felt our children were better suited to the Maris pool which was more child-friendly (it also has waiter service).
