Located in the centre of Figueretas, ideal location for the small beach and for the short walk to Ibiza Town but can be very noisy through to the early hours due to its proximity to local bars etc.

Rooms were basic but comortable, bathrooms were small and the shower was temperature temprimental, the lift has seen better days and the roof top pool has been badly placed on the wrong side of the building so it only gets sun at certain times of the day.

If you can try and get a property on the beachfront to get away from the noise and get a better view.

The hotel website misleadingly states that all rooms have a balcony and "Most of the Hotel Central Playa's rooms command magnificent views, overlooking the nearby sandy beach and the blue waters beyond"

In fact, only the rooms at the front of the hotel have balconies and only the rooms on Floors 5-7 at the front of the hotel have a sea view (over the roof of the building opposite). The remaining rooms at the front have a view of the street and the building opposite and the rooms at the rear overlook private appartments. When booking online you do not get the option to choose the type of room.

When we arrived we were allocated a room at the rear of floor 3 with no balcony. The next day after we had complained we were moved to a room at the front of floor 3 with a balcony (but no sea view).

Beware that one wing of the hotel has tiny hostel style rooms. Our friends were allocated one of these rooms at the rear of floor 1 which was the size of a prison cell and even had bars on the windows. Again they complained and the next day were moved to a good room with a balcony and sea view on the 5th floor.

If you get a good room there are lots of good things about the hotel. It has a great location - 5 mins walk from Figuritas beach and 15 mins walk to the centre of Ibiza town. The property is clean and well maintained, has great air conditioning, 24 hour reception and helpful staff.

Just be specific in your booking that you want a room with a balcony....

The hotel is ideally located a short distance from the beach and within easy reach of all the restaurants and shops in Figueretas. The rooms themselves are very small, when we first arrived we were positioned at the rear of the hotel and on the ground floor - it was very small, noisy and had no self catering facilities at all (although we had booked a self catering studio) - we eventually were moved to the seventh floor at the rear again with the opportunity to move to the front as soon as a vacancy became available (this never materialised). Throughout all this the staff were helpful and friendly and did try their best.

The rooms are clean but as already mentioned extremely small (only the rooms at the front of the hotel with a balcony have 'normal' sized rooms (so if you are claustrophobic bear this in mind) - I cannot imagine anyone being able to use the rooms as a self catering apartment/studio! The walls are very thin so any noise can be heard - we were located by the lift shaft and emergency staircase (which every morning was used by the maids to run up and down to the washing lines on the roof). The air conditioning was brilliant and much needed through the heatwave and we were kept up-to-date of new events by the satellite TV in every room (Sky and CNN news only in English). The electrics were very suspect and we had several occasions when the whole room was without electricity (this was rectified by speaking with reception each time). The lift (which was a necessity being on the 7th floor) is extremely old and takes an age to crawl the seven flights and is very small - we did break down once and I'm just glad it wasn't with any strangers otherwise marriage may need to have been arranged after our rescue!

To be truthful we had a great holiday because Figueretas is such a good resort and great location but you would do better booking a room at the Panaramic/Lux Mar/Topical Gardens apartments - these are far far nicer.

We stayed at this hotel (3 of us) for a long weekend in June. The hotel comes with AC which is definitely needed in the summer months of Ibiza. The beds were relatively comfortable, and the room was quite clean. As a bonus, there was a small kitchenette in the room with refrigerator, stove, microwave and sink. This saved us quite a bit of money as we were able to cook a few meals rather than eat out. The hotel is about 2 blocks from a very nice beach, and right below is a grocery store. There is a bank just across the street, and you can catch a taxi just outside (they run about every 5 minutes). If you aren't looking for luxury, but a good place to stay for your time in Ibiza, I highly recommend this hotel. The only thing I didnt like was that there were no safes in the rooms, but they do offer lock boxes at the front desk. For the money (one of the cheapest in town) this hotel is DEFINITELY worth it. I will try and stay there again on my next Ibiza trip.
