This is THE place to escape the regular tourist crowds and to have a lovely time hanging out near a quaint fishing village in comfort -- and with English-speaking company (when you want it). We spent a week at Casa de Celeste Vida with its wonderful hosts, Wanda, Kenn, & Karen and their hilarious "herd" of cocker spaniels. The rentals are impeccably clean, well stocked, and even have good North American mattresses for backs not accustomed to the hard Mexican variety. We had a wonderful time exploring the village on the guest bikes, walking on the white sand and near empty beaches, swimming in the green Gulf waters, lying in the hamacas under the thatched palapas, going on the flamingo tour, drinking margaritas, and having a grand "going away" dinner with the fabulous hosts. They made us feel like friends, yet cared for our every need. Who could ask for more?

I send them an email to ask for their availability as I was on a business trip and planned to stay in Celestun for the weekend. Although they did not have any rooms available they asked me to come over to meet them. I got over to their Guesthouse and had a lovely drink with them and they even invited me for supper. We had a really nice time. Kenn and Karen have a beautiful Guesthouse and they know how to give their guests a warm welcome. Celestun is a very nice place which is quite and perfect for a few days of relaxing and enjoying this nice fishermen´s village.

“Fabulous location”

Casa de Celeste Vida

An oasis of tranquility - a corner of heaven on earth. Karen, Ken and Wanda are really wonderful hosts, who are friendly, kind and attentive. They treat you as one of the family, making you feel relaxed and at home in a wonderful location. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. It you truly want some peace & quite, and to really get away from it all, this is the place to ‘chill-out’.

We travelled to Mexico back in September and chose this guest house based on previous reviews. We were definitely not disappointed!

As you drive into the property, the view through the archway has the real WOW factor! Stunning - with tranquil white sand and blue sea, and a (very comfy!) hammock on either side - just what you need to welcome you after a long drive!

Karen and Kenn who own the guest house (along with their lovely dogs!) are the most welcoming couple and made us feel immediately at home. The apartments all look out on to the sea and are immaculate and well thought out - everything from kitchen equipment to beach towels! Nothing is too much trouble. They even invited us up for a glass or two of red wine which we understand is where this adventure started for them ;o)

The town is a few minutes walk and has a good selection of restaurants as well as shops where you can buy bread, cheese etc if you fancy a snack.

A real jewel in Celestun :)

“Celeste Vida or "the best way to discover Celestun"”

Casa de Celeste Vida

Celeste Vida in Celestun is a wonderfull guesthouse owned by a wonderfull woman - Karen - and her husband Kenn.

The house is new, really full equiped and just 10 meter from the ocean. The beach is lovely and it's all for yourself.

Karen knows the area and she's able to give you the best advice to discover Celestun and its surroudings.

My girlfriend and I spent 10 days in Celeste Vida and I think we'll be back soon.
Thank you again Karen for your friendship
