Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel is close to main roads and easily located. There’s adequate car parking and the hotel itself has clearly had a recent refurb. The room was clean, well decorated and comfortable. There is a small lift too. Cold Buffet breakfast is an extra €10 which is probably a bit steep if all you want is a coffee and a roll. But not outrageous. Be aware there is no receptionist between 9pm and 8am so settle your bill the evening before. If there had to be a downside I guess it’s no English speaking tv channels and the limited choice of places to eat in the local area! Recommended

Stayed overnight when heading home via Eurotunnel. The welcome in broken English was warm enough but the hotel itself was dated and in need of some tender loving care. Our room suffered from separate toilet with no washing facilities and a bathroom that needed some manual strength to operate the wash basin taps. The view overlooking the refinery didn't help. There was one thing to recommend it - the buffet breakfast was good and plentiful.
