This Old British Bungalow sits on the top of one of the hills of Kohima, Nagaland. There are only 4 rooms and not everyone can just reserve a room. Room qualities vary from a/c to fans, to simple. Most Baths are in a tub, no showers, but it is pleasant.
The hardest part is that Kohima is in the mountains and to land in Dimapur, Nagaland it is a 2 hour drive to Kohima, but as the hub of Nagaland, it is worth the ride. Zonal (yellow) taxis will take you all the way from the airport to Kohima for 700 Rupees and you can sit back and relax.
The staff are 1000 points ahead of most hotels for courtesy, smiles, and helpfulness. A person watches the rooms all day and if you will gone the full day you can request a padlock on the door to room for added security. Breakfast is included and laundry service is available.
It is truly a peaceful resort, a place for quiet walks and merely 5 minutes walk to some other restaurants and shops. A full menu is served in the dining commons and morning tea is always brought to your room.
Well worth the price, the oasis setting, the helpful staff and so much more.
