We couldn't get a table at our usuall haunt so thought we would give this a go and we're really glad we did. The place is fantastic, there is a bar area on the ground floor with an enormous selection of bottled beers which could have kept husband occupied for days, there are chesterfield sofa and chairs and a very cosy atmosphere in which to choose you meal. We were then taken upstairs to big room which had all its original victorial features - beautiful high ceilings with cornices and an original tiled fire place. The decor is eclectic, the tables and chairs don't match, but it all adds to the charm. Then came the food, we had a mixed starter for 3 where you get to choose 5 different dishes and then we had a selection of 3 main meals with rice and noodles. I have never given up on a thai meal before, I usually leave feeling hard done by, but not here, the portions were generous. Maybe next time we'll give the starters a miss but probably just order one portion of noodles and forget the rice. It was all extremely tasty and the next time we go out to eat it will be here - you need to book, there aren't many tables and on a Friday night it was heaving.
