My partner (who is swedish) is working in solna for a week, so we chose the hotel for its location,& got a very good deal with an agent on line. The location is very interesting, smack in the middle of a large shopping centre, a little surreal walking through a shopping mall late at night when everything is shut ! its 5 minute walk to the tube & you will be in central stockholm in 15 minutes... Easy ! The hotel is clearly split with the quality of the rooms, half the hotel is classified as business rooms, which have clearly been recently refurbished & look great, the old rooms however are quite different. I had a lot of grumbles purely because our room did not meet the 4star rating which i expected..we travel to sweden about 4 times a year & have yet to stay in the same hotel twice, however the Mornington has set the standard & we will probably stay there next visit. Room 515, Park Inn offer no air conditioning, the window was sealed, no tea coffee facilities & the only vent for air meant a constant sound of noise from traffic on the main road. 2 people in this room was tight especially with little room for the bags. My biggest complaint however was that twice a housekeeper entered the room without knocking & apparently unable to read the do not disturb hung on the door. So be careful which room you get, we tried to upgrade but the reception wouldnt upgrade us to Business & told us to speak to our travel agent, apparently they dont need the money which we were happy to pay to change rooms! Also consider the transfer to Arlanda especially if you have heavy luggage check with your agent or the hotel reception. To me the hotel could provide a better service for this especially as this is a business hotel & that majority of guests are returning to the airport at the end of their stay. Also for a business hotel the internet facility in the rooms is extremely expensive & to be honest a bit cheeky given that the other hotels we have stayed in include this with your room if you ask for it !
