I stayed here for quite a few nights whilst working in the area. whilst the staff are friendly and the hotel is clean I stil felt it was not what I was expecting. I had one meal in the resteraunt which was expensive but nice. The meals that I ate from the bar menu which was very limited were poor to say the least. They take for ever to arrive and are served luke warm on cold plates. The room rates are expensive if you put accross the road in the annex, where you are woken up at almost 6am on the dot every morning by the sounds of heavy wagons and tractors thundering through the village. A quiet afternoon in your room is spoilt once again by the noise of the bikers who come to enjoy the country roads and the heavy traffic that seems to dominate this lovely village. On the plus side there is a small garden to sit in and enjoy one of there nice hand pulled beers while enjoying the sun if the traffic subsides for just a short while.
I don't think I will stay here again but would consider going for a beer.
