I visited this hotel on a trip to London for three days, on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of April. My first impression of this hotel was that it looked typically Premier Inn. The exterior was tall and looming, painted in a horrendous colour that instantly made me think 'Did a colour blind person paint this? If this is the outside, i dont think i want to go in!'
Hotel first impressions are very important- or at least i think they are- and this first impression was not great. And often, you can tell what the hotels interior will be like, by looking at the exterior.
Once inside, everything was white, or cream, with the occasional splash of an odd colour here or there. We were greeted by one of the staff at the desk, who then showed us to our rooms.
The rooms were of a decent size, and the double bed was EXTREMELY comfortable- i dont think i have ever slept that well! There was a hairdryer, as well as a selection of teas, milk, sugar and a kettle. Everything was kept very clean during our stay, towels were changed regularly, and overall the layout of the room was nice.
Food at the hotel was...interesting... the cheese and tomato nachos, were extremely hot, they nearly exploded my mouth! Whereas the chicken korma, which was actually supposed to be mildly spicy, was actually like eating water and dry cardboard.
Service was quite slow, and a lot of our orders got mixed up, but, i have to say, when serving twenty odd kids, you are not going to get everything right.
As far as cheap hotels go, this one was mediocre. I suppose the saying was right: You get what you pay for!
