We are a young family of four that has just enjoyed a week at the Talayot. My wife and I went with our two young children, a 5 year old boy and a 3 year old girl. All in all we had a fantastic week, we are going away to Tunisia at the end of August so this was just a quick week away to get a bit of rest from the terrible British weather. So, where to start?! The apartments themselves are very well kept and incredibley spacious for the money paid, for one of the days the weather was pretty miserable and we spent almost 5 hours in the apartments, but given the size this wasn't a huge fuss and it didn't feel like we were on top of each other at all. The grounds are well maintained and you get the impression that all staff there are very proud of the complex and take great pride in where they work. I only have one gripe with the Talayot, it's not a big gripe and is a bit of a back handed compliment, the complex in itself is too big and all the different play areas for the kids are spread about the place. As our children our too young to be left unsupervised it felt like my wife and I spent the whole day, every day, chasing the kids about from the park to the pool, to the cars, then back to the toy cars and then back to the park again, very frustrating when all you want to do is relax for the week, this may be something to take into consideration if you have younger kids. The resort itself seemed very quiet and because of this the area itself felt and looked quite tired and run down, despite this there were still some great places to eat such as Les Delphines, l'ancora!? And the Chinese resteraunt next to the pizza place with the batman and superman statues out the front was good as well. These 3 places were excellent and the customer service and food were of a lot better standard then other places, yes they were slightly more expensive, by 10 euros or so for the 4 of us, but in our opinion it was worth paying that bit extra over other places for the better quality service and food. I don't think that we would go back again, but that is by no means a reflection of the Talayot, I just felt the resort was very limited in what it had to offer in terms of eating and drinking.
