It does exactly what it says! A good 4* hotel, not pretentious just friendly and comfortable. The staff throughout were very pleasant and friendly. The only rude person I came accross was sadly another Brit whos behaviour made me cringe!

Lots of variety in the breakfast & dinner buffet, there should be something for every taste. They also had a chef cooking frest fish and meat every evening.

The spa prices were more expensive than UK but a comprehensive range of treatments with excellent staff.

The season doesn't start until 1st May so most local shops & restaurents were closed. It's a small seaside town with a beautiful beach and lovely walks around the cliff tops. A short taxi ride (30 mins) to Citadellia, much nicer than the capital Mahon which I found soulless.

Overall the ideal spot for some R&R, not luxury just simple, comfortable, clean and friendly.

Stayed at the Audax last weekend. On arrival was surprised it was so quiet, but in actual fact it was the perfect place to relax! Reception staff were efficient and friendly as were all other staff in the hotel. The room was clean, modern, a good size and with pool-view.

Even though we arrived late, we were still able to have the buffet dinner (extra €20 pp as only booked in B&B basis) - there was a very good selection of hot food, salads and desserts. Continuing with the food theme...the breakfast buffet was also great. Plenty of breads, cereals, fruit, pastries and cooked breakfast to choose from. Like other guests we found there wasn't much else open in the evening. During the low season they only open during the day. There is a Spar supermarket around the corner if you want to get supplies for day trips out.

Obviously the spa facilities are a main attraction at the hotel. The thermal spa circuit is great - 90mins for approx €20 pp. We didn't make much use of the outdoor pool because we were out and about so much. Even though it was low season, the hotel still run a Sport & Nature activity programme. There is a wooden hut just around the corner of the hotel offering Archery, Bike rides, Kayaking and hiking. I would definitely recommend the hike along the gorge...and recommend taking a backpack for other walks along the coast in either direction to find unspoilt beaches. The beach in Cala Galdana itself is large and clean but the other beaches are spectacular! (Although we did notice jellyfish!)

Another top tip is that the hotel can offer a courtesy room if you have a late flight out and have checked out earlier in the day, but need to change or have a quick shower.

fantastic hotel in a fantastic location, the beach is awesome, the reaction of the people on the bus as it came into view said it all !!!
the hotel reception was good, staff spoke perfect english, room was spacious and clean with a balcony which looked out onto woodland and the beach. the food was buffet style but more than adaquate, 2 restaurants on different floors, plenty of choice and you can have your half board meal at lunchtime allowing you to eat out at night.
the bar was relaxing, staff very halpful, and the entertainment was good, something for everyone really, and all over by 11.
the beach is awesome, the water clear and the walks to nearby beaches are worthwhile, but the beach at cala galdana is the best.
we hired a car for a few days and visited cuitadella and mahon, both good for shopping, also monte toro is well worth a visit, the view is fantastic, you can almost see the whole island.
eating out in cala galdana you must go to Sa Lluna just round the corner from the hotel, don't be put off by appearances, the food is fantastic and a really good atmosphere.
all in all an excellent holiday !!!

We stayed here for one week on a half board basis, the food was great with loads of choice, the staff all very pleasant and welcoming. The room was spacious and cleaned daily. We made use of the spa facilities which were to die for. We had a sea view and a view of the harbour which was pretty. The hotel is minutes from the beach and if you take a walk right of the hotel there is a perfect quiet beach which we has all to our selves. The only bad point to the holiday was the lack of entertainment and all shops restaurants were closed, but their season does not start until may. Overall this was a great quiet holiday and would recommend it to anyone.
