We visited this hotel recently. It's really a hotel complex as it's three hotels together sharing a number of facilities. It's a busy and bustling hotel offering All Inclusive and Half Board. We were Half Board which suited us because it meant that we were would venture out in the evenings rather than staying in the hotel. Drinks in the hotel for HB guests were quite expensive. However, because of the almost 1 to 1 rate of the £ to the Euro drinks anywhere in the resort were expensive. The guests nationalities seemed to be mainly Spanish and English with a sprinkling of Germans and other Europeans.
Back to the hotel. It has a really great location because the beach is a simple walk down steps at the back of the pool. This is a secluded and sheltered bay and the sea water is very warm and welcoming. The only thing to spoil this is the worry of jelly fish. A couple were noticed while we were there. There's always space on the beach for a sun bed although that age old practise of reserving loungers by the pool with ones towel is pretty rampant here. The mornings when there are a lot of flights out of the resort seemed to alleviate this a little.
The restaurant seemed to work quite well considering the number of people staying there. Any time we went to breakfast or evening meal there were always tables available, even at peak times. The best meal was breakfast, especially if you like fry ups! The evening meal was adequate but got a bit repetitive after the first week. Also, vegi options were limited.
The staff were very good, especially the maids. They worked endlessly to keep the rooms and other areas of the hotel as clean as possible, a difficult task given the number of guests and the proximity to the beach. The entertainments team seemed to work all hours and still maintain a happy demeanour which can't always be easy.
Now to the bad bit. I can't understand why this should be such a problem but it is. The noise in the hotel was far too loud late at night and after midnight. This is made worse by the paper thin walls between the rooms. We had to put up with people shouting and laughing and slamming wardrobes. Also, I can't understand why people need to continue spouting off while walking down the corridors and halls (could somebody translate that last sentence into Spanish please?). I think the hotel should share the blame with the inconsiderate guests as they could do more to remind those that need to be reminded that there are other people staying at the hotel. Simple really!
Despite this I would recommend this hotel for its good points
