The rooms in the main building are comfortable but small so the best bet is one in the annex over the road - more modern and roomy.
There is nothing we look forward to more than a kir royal on the front terrace in the evening sun after a long days drive on the French Autoroute. The husband and wife owners are very welcoming and , unlike some French hoteliers , very willing to speak English if your school french is poor! I am sure their German and Dutch is good too.
The highlight is dinner in the very comfortable dining room with helpful and friendly staff. It does not have to be expensive - our menu was €35 each with a good Puligny Montrachet rouge at €32. Do take their advice on wines-they have directed me to a cheaper , and better red , on more than one occasion. Fine French dining in one of the best wine villages in France at just over €100 is a bargain.
Be sure to book dinner when you reserve the room as the restaurant is normally very busy and you are encouraged to sit down before 8pm - even so the service is always good.
