We stayed here for 5 nights recently and thought it a lovely hotel. The rooms are not luxurious but very pleasant and comfortable and reasonably priced. The situation is excellent and the staff helpful and friendly. I thought the restaurant was quite good, but I wouldn't want to eat there every night. Dinner with wine for 2 people is around £110 which is quite expensive for the quality of the food. There are several good restaurants in Mersault where you can get a good meal with wine for around £50 or less, also in Beaune there is a good choice of restaurants. However we had a very nice stay and I certainly hope to revisit.

Le Montrachet was recommended by a neighbour in France as being excellent quality and very child friendly. And it was. The rooms are not luxurious, but then again you are just sleeping off a fabulous gourmet dinner and a wine list to die for. All the staff speak excellent English. They are extremely polite and courteous. Our three children were not frowned upon, unlike some place that we have been to. They were made to feel very much at home. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be returning for another evening on our way back from the piste in April. Also another chance to pick up some extrememly good Puligny Montrachet wines from just across the road. Can't wait.
