“the hotel delta, loved it will go back”

Delta Hotel

2 Jul 2008

pamela and jack stayed at this hotel on all-inclusive, been back a week, hotel set in beautiful gardens, loved everything about it, staff very friendly, especially antonio and paco, got proper drinks and waiter and waitress service , food very good, rooms spotless and not a bad size, the beach club is fabulous, but be careful when you come back from the sea as you have to walk over rocks, i slipped and broke my wrist, £550, so make sure you have insurance. Do not usually return to the same place but this one we will. entertainment wasnt every night but you soon made friends and at least you could hear yourselves speak, no downside to this holiday not even a broken wrist spoilt it

“You'll love it IF you're German!”

I have just returned from a four night stay at the Delta Hotel and was honestly not impressed at all. Before I booked the holiday I read the reviews and although they were mixed thought I would go ahead and book as the most recent reviews were positive. When we arrived at the hotel it was as though we were the only guests there, the rooms were ok (not 4* more 3* but clean), the main bar and pool area was deserted. We wandered to the top bar to see if that's where everyone was, but no just two Spanish locals sitting at the bar. We decided to order some food and the waiter was rude and made us feel uncomfortable. The locals then thought it would be funny to play the Spanish national anthem over and over on their phone, much to the waiters amusement as they all laughed at us, quite intimidating really! We finished quickly and went to explore the local area thinking it would be ok if the hotel wasn't that great as it could just be a base, but there was nothing at all. There are about 3 resturants about a 5 minute walk away, which are never busy and next to a very busy motorway. There is a shop and bank there but everything in the shop is catering for German tourists no British magazines or newspapers. It turned out this would be the theme of our holiday, rude staff at the hotel and practically all German guests. There is not beach within walking distance and the area is quite rough, the only good point is the Beach Club (but its not a beach), you could escape the hotel. It does prove very expensive though unless AI, as you are not allowed to take your own drinks, even bottled water, you have to buy it at the bar which is so over priced its ridiculous, 60 euros for 4 pizzas and 4 cokes! Nobody speaks to you and at breakfast the English guests were shoved in the back corner whilst German and Spanish guests had window tables. In the evening there is hardly any entertainment so we went to the closest larger resort El Arenal, hoping for some nice resturants, shops and bars, but no it is Magaluf for German's, packed with large groups of German men on stag nights, strip clubs and bouncers who try to push you into their bar, NOT for children! All in all, bad hotel, bad location, very rude staff, intimidating atmosphere, the only thing that got us through was trying to see the funny side and the sun tan!! Oh and you can have brussel sprouts from the dinner buffet for breakfast if you like! Gross!

Stayed at The Delta for a long weekend on a cheap deal. The hotel was used mainly be Germans, probably 75% and 25% British. It was very clean, spacious and the breakfast was very good. We did not have any other meals there as we were only B & B. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and a good size.
The beach club pool and facilities I did not like and found quite soulless. The other pools were good. The hotel would not suit children as it seems aimed at adults. The entertainment was ok. The area it is in has nothing there and the restaurants that are there were not of a good standard. We travelled to Palma for evening meals and had a fab time. This hotel was fine for a long weekend and I would reccomend it for a quiet break. I would class it as 4* and I am very fussy! I would go there again for a short cheap break.

“Not really for families”

Delta Hotel

This hotel is the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in ,to the point it was quite eerie, expected more families at half term in May.
Family of 2 adults +2 children 10 & 12, quite pleased with our ajoining rooms clean, but more 3* than 4*.Big hotel ,2 pools outdoor that noone used as too cold, indoor pool small but warm, so quiet, we had almost private use.gym small and very basic, bars good size at most there were 20 people in at one time, mostly german 50+ couples. Entertainment was generally poor, but did watch a very good cantautionist act. Staff are polite, and efficient.Children club played darts ect but only 6 kids there at most.I must say the food was of a very good standard, we were AI and ate too well, did not use Argos a la carte resteraunt, as after studying the menu it seemed very simular to buffet, and AI guests pay 50% of price. The beach club is quite unique as there is no beach and although part of hotel you need to take the hotel bus 5mins,Food good at beach club. Snacks were incuded at begining of holiday but last 4 days we had to pay 50% ??Hotel best suited to 50+ Pobably our worst holiday
as a family ,as hotel generally lacked life, a little depressing.
