I went here with a bunch of scientists, for a meeting, and apart from the fact that we put an unprecedented strain on their interernet service (basically we blew it away), I agreed with the glowing promises of the conference organizers about what a great hotel it is. I have rather basic tastes and it is likely the fanciest hotel I have stayed in, in my life. At the rate we paid though, I can't complain.

The food was excellent, fresh and abundant. The place impressed me every day with just how big it was, but also how well kept up. I was a little suprised how built up the area nearby was, but surprised that despite that one had to go about 2km to get an internet cafe (see above about what we did to the hotel's 'free' service). My only real gripe would be that North Americans (and there seemed few of them here) like warmer pools. I went in a few times but warmer would have been better.

Anyway there are a lot of very positive reviews already up about this hotel so I will not ramble on much more.

“Struggling to cope”

We booked a 1 week stay in a room overlooking the pool/sea, on a B&B basis, direct with the hotel; largely based on trip advisor reviews - which, on reflection, look generous.

The "free" taxi transfers to/from the hotel, provided as part of the package, worked well - to time and quick.

Our bedroom was large with room for a separate table and 2 chairs. The TV service provided was excellent, it included BBC & ITV as well as Sky news.

The bathroom had the benefit of a separate shower cubicle although the toilet was stuck behind the door.

The food range for breakfast was extensive, although the "hot" buffet breakfast range can best be described as "warm".

Outside, the grounds are cluttered with sunbeds, you could always get one but room for movement was limited.

As the hotel became fuller - we understand the max is about 1100 clients - certain service items began to disappear e.g. pool towels could not be changed because "the hotel is nearly full and hasn't got enough"; bathroom towels were not changed, presumably for the same reason; and although our sheets were changed our pillowcases remained the same for the week.

Bar staff were friendly, reception staff less so. Lots of staff maintaing the grounds, some even bringing more sunbeds!

Talking to other people who had returned to the same hotel year after year, they said standards wereobviously slipping and it might be best to only come out of high season.

The resort itself is a bit of a dump - a purpose built concrete strip, with no character and your obligatory British and German bars/
restaurants.

We had a lovely relaxing time, only left the hotel a couple of times as just needed to chill in the beautiful tropical gardens, heated pool and get spoilt with an amazing array of treatments in the spa, i had a couple of their signature treatments, my skin was glowing, mind and body refreshed, lovely nourishing food too, i really enjoyed this experience, will definitely be back.

Agree with all the positive comments. Only slight negatives: have to pay 2 euros to collect ice from Piano Bar (8 euros room service); charge for use of iron/board; hotel in a more urban setting (although quiet) than implied by hotel photos.

As a family with 2 young children we have just got back from a great week at this hotel. We booked interconnecting rooms which didnt have the view but were spacious and kept very clean. The balcony didnt get sun at all however so I suggest an upgrade if you can. The hotel is well equiped for kids. There is a low key kids club run by a really friendly girl but you cant really leave your kids there unless they are old enough to make their own way around the hotel (there is no security) but its easy to sit in the sun reading while the kids have fun. The mini disco every night goes down a treat aswell and leaves the grown ups to have a few after dinner drinks while the children are entertained. The entertainment in the night club is hit and miss and I think the DJ after the acts died a few years ago but no-one has realised. For us adults one of the best features of this hotel was the food. So much choice of great quality, even the desserts were good which is unheard of in the Spain! We would definately return. The kids were happy which meant we were relaxed and its a great place to get some winter sun (22 - 27 degrees) and a nice resort - much better than the tenerife I had imagined.
