It's difficult to know where to start... The waitress was very friendly, and there was no problem about the service. I also liked the feel of the place and, slightly grubby tables/dirty menu/chipped and dirty "reserved" sign aside, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The menu, at first glance, looked pretty good for vegans, but we were very disappointed when our food arrived. Each of us ordered different meals, yet they arrived looking remarkably similar - same soggy square of puff pastry on a plate, but smothered with different vegetables. Looked awful. We were told that the cheese would be "left off" each meal to make them vegan, and yet there was a layer of cheese on top of the pastry. We questioned this, and were told that it was vegan cheese. This may have been the case, but we were suspicious as we were categorically told that the vegan meal was without cheese... Considering that we couldn't eat the main course, and that the chocolate brownie was nice, but nothing special, we had a miserable time. The menu lacked imagination, and the meals we were offered certainly didn't justify the bill.
