“Loved the view and the restaurant”

Hotel Princess of Mykonos

12 Jun 2008

We stayed at the Princess through Fantasy Travel (great agency). We loved the view, the room was spacious and the restaurant was fantastic. It is away from the town, so if you want some place soothing and relaxing this place is for you. The only minor inconvenience is that you have to walk about 1/2 a mile to get to the bus station that will take you into town (which is not always reliable). Otherwise you will need to call a taxi.

“Mykonos in the Sun”

Hotel Princess of Mykonos

The Princess of Mykonos Hotel is located about six miles from the main port of Mykonos; therefore it is a bustling area rather than a hugely bustling area. The hotel is a typical white-washed Greek Hotel above St. Stephanos beach. The hotel is very clean and well managed. The rooms are spacious by European standards and the view of the sea is spectacular. The hotel is decorated with both modern and ancient themed Greek paintings and statues. There is internet access in the lobby. There is a decent swimming pool, bar area, and restaurant. The room price includes a very good breakfast served on a patio area overlooking the sea. The beach is a ten minute walk; there are several restaurants at the beach area. Transportation is a bit tricky; taxis are available, but you must call ahead. Many people rent cars or scooters, but I would only recommend this if you have nerves of steel. Mykonos is a wonderful island to explore. This hotel is a good choice for quality, particularly if you want to be a bit off the beaten path.

The staff was amazingly personable and friendly. They were especially helpful when I arrived and was sick for the first day of our stay. The hotel was great and is just a short 5 minute cab ride outside Mykonos Town. If you are looking to party it up this in not the place, but if you are looking for some great views and excellent R&R and a staff that will help make sure you get everything you need - you will not be disappointed.
