熊本県宇土市は、宇土半島の北部を占める市。ここも天草と熊本の通り道で、キリシタン大名・小西行長以外には、これといったイメージはありませんが、市役所近くで、風情ある橋を発見。帰宅して調べてみると、1863年ごろに架けられた「船場（せんば）橋」とのこと。脇には江戸時代の水道の水源となった井戸もあったそうです。道を間違えたことで大きな収穫がありました。 more
