富良野芦別道立自然公園の中にある桂沢湖は、周囲が62kmの人造湖です。原生林に囲まれた自然豊かな湖ですが、多目的な利用（キャンプ場、公園、スポーツ等）に利用されているようです。私が訪れた初秋は、静かな緑の中の湖でしたが、紅葉の時期は良さそうな気がしました。この付近はアンモナイト等の化石の宝庫だと言われているとのことでした。 more
