The relatively small section of View Street in Bendigo from Pall Mall north is a wide promendade and outstanding for its variety of gold-rush era buildings. Some shops now feature antiques and one...more

nice small city fine old buildings showing wealth of the gold mines that operated last century. Quaint little tram cars still operate. Preserved gold mine quite interesting. friendly people. hot...more

I visited Bendigo for the first time last year. This is a city built on gold mining--in more ways than one. The city literally sits on hundreds of gold mines and undoubtedly this shaped its economy...more
