Once the capital of Wielkopolska (the region where medieval Poland got its start), Poznan lies midway between Berlin and Warsaw, which has helped make it an important town for centuries. This was a stopover before heading northwards. A good hostel with free internet access, kept the kids happy! Good sized, clean rooms. Friendly staff that speak good English & are v. helpful. more
