ベルガマにあるアスクレピオンはＢＣ４世紀～ＡＤ４世紀までの古代の総合医療センターの遺跡です。聖なる入口を歩いて行くと、聖なる泉や診療所へ通じるトンネル、病人への娯楽目的の劇場などがあります。私が行ったときはちょうど車メーカー（フィアット）のCM撮影が行われていました。ギリシャローマ時代の服を着たきれいなお姉さんがいたので一緒に記念写真を撮ろうとしたら、スタッフにすごい勢いで追い払われました。日本でも放映されないか帰国後しばらく気にしていましたが、　残念ながら放映されませんでした。 more

ベルガマのアクロポリスは古代ペルガモン王国の遺跡です。保存状態のいいものはベルリンのペルガモン博物館にかなり持ち去られてしまっていますが、それでも大理石のトラヤヌス神殿、急斜面の大劇場など見所は多いです。エフェソスなどと比べると、遺跡の規模はそれほど大きくありませんが、山頂にあるため立地たよく、青い空に白い神殿は絵になります。 more
