Muskegon, Michigan, built on the fur and lumber trade, is now a calm vacation spot on Lake Michigan, calling itself "The Riviera of the Midwest." Muskegon State Park provides hiking and camping opportunities in the summer, and ice skating, cross-country skiing and even a luge track in the winter. The city is also home to Michigan's Adventure Amusement Park.

We paid $45 including tax for three people in two double beds. You get what you pay for - a room to sleep in and a small breakfast the next morning. If that's all you want, it's worth the money. ...more

Discovered a gem in Muskegon. Went for the beaches, but found great museum and historic homes. Their art museum is one of the best in the midwest. A must see is the Hackley Hume Homes. Great...more
