Shadow MT Fire lookout:  Great hike 4.8 miles one way first 1.5 miles pretty easy mainly flat surface followed by 3.3 moderate to hard uphill approx 2.5 hours in 1.5 out  beautiful scenery and wildlife once you have hit summit you will enjoy panoramic sight 360 degrees overlooking RNP Mt Craig over Arapaho MT range and village of Grand lake it is quite the view understanding why the park service once used that as fire lookout. Since has been closed but with service and up keep you are able to climb to top for full view. Trail starts off Jericho rd which is over the Chanel bridge between shadow Mt resv & Grand Lake itself just south of Grand Lake.Take plenty of water and snacks and enjoy
