Certainly you can sit on the beach in Paget and do nothing else. For many, that would constitute a successful vacation. But if you decide you want to do a little more, there is plenty to keep you busy. Here’s a sampling.

You might want to head to one of the botanical gardens in Bermuda. In Paget, visit the Bermuda Botanical Gardens. It’s located on Point Finger Road and features 35 landscaped acres of lush botanical gardens. The flowers, shrubs and trees are clearly identified for you. There is a 90-minute walking tour available, which might be the best way to enjoy these beautiful gardens.

To enjoy more of nature, head to Paget Marsh, where you can see Bermuda as it appeared when first settled. If you read the markers along the boardwalk, you can learn about the indigenous plants here as well.

To see one of Bermuda’s natural wonders, head just a short distance from Paget intothe town of Hamilton. Here, you can visit Crystal Caves, an underground experience like no other. The Crystal caves are just what the name implies – crystal (actually crystal stalactites and stalagmites) that surround a perfectly clear lake that’s 55 feet deep. You can see the formations at the bottom of the lake as well. Don’t miss Fantasy Caves when visiting either.
